Public warned of traffic delays due to filming of Castle Rock

ORANGE — The Orange Police Department issued an advisory that traffic will be affected in the center of town on Wednesday, April 24, from approximately 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. due to the filming of season 2 of “Castle Rock.” Officers will be running stop and go traffic on South Main at the East/West River Street intersection north to the center of town, and North Main Street from the center to School Street. There will be no parking along the street in this area. There will also be no parking on Depot Street, the South Main Street parking lot, East Main to Water, West Main to the area of #29 and School Street. There are no actual road closures or detours planned, however motorists should plan on extra time that day to get where they need to go.

In the evening, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m., filming will be conducted at the gas station located at 272 South Main  St. Officers will be running stop and go traffic on South Main from Blodgett Street to Burrill Avenue. No road closures or detours are planned. On street parking will be restricted on Blodgett, Burrill, Carpenter and Gay streets. All downtown businesses will be open regular hours during the film shoot. Parking is available on Water Street. Pedestrians will be guided by production assistants.
