Sunday, Dec. 3

2:24 a.m – Request was made to have OPD make contact with an individual they had lost contact with; his ankle monitor or bracelet as it was either turned off or dead. Officers spoke with a resident as well as the house manager and were told that individual had left sometime in the afternoon of the previous day and had not returned.

11:03 a.m. – Station walk-in reported that he had an issue with his mobile banking app and someone had transferred $529 to another account. Reporting party contacted the app and the bank but was told there was nothing they could do about it.

12:26 p.m. – Bacon Street disturbance reported. OPD responded and it seemed to be over eviction process but unclear. OPD advised reporting party to contact police if it happens again.

1:45 p.m. – Bacon Street caller requested assistance with vicious dogs locked in the bathroom of her apartment. She does not know whose dogs they are. Also mentioned there were people inside the apartment last night but they were gone. Officers spoke with the the reporting party about the situation and advised of an update. Reporting party was informed to contact the ACO and the landlord because there is a process that needs to be taken as well as to the landlord to properly evict previous tenants.

11:36 p.m. – Wheeler Avenue caller reported a tow truck in his yard that was trying to repo his vehicle. Reporting party had records of all his payments. OPD responded and advised the the reporting party that he would have to contact the loan company in the morning as he was saying he has not missed any payments.

Monday, Dec. 4

11:42 a.m. – E River Street arrest of Jacob R Parlett, 30, on a default warrant, fugitive from justice on court warrant.

11:07 p.m. – Route 202 traffic stop for defective equipment. Searched for controlled substances. Vehicle operator to be summonsed for possession of Class A and Class B substances.

Tuesday, Dec. 5

7:52 a.m. – New Athol Road report of ongoing harassment issues, and reporting party has already spoken with the landlord. Advised of HPO options.

9:12 a.m. – Bacon Street animal complaint. Police investigated and the ACO was notified as there is an ongoing issue at this address.

11:10 a.m. – Perry Road warrant arrest of Savannah L. Hamel, 24.

Wednesday, Dec. 6

12:02 p.m. – E River Street caller reported that the neighbor was banging on her door, threatening her. Both parties were advised to stay away from one another. The reporting party was advised of HPO (Harassment Prevention Order) rights.

Friday, Dec. 8

3:26 p.m. – Main Street assault reported. Two were already separated upon police arrival. One injured and transported to AMH.

9:02 p.m. – E Main Street shoplifting investigated. Criminal charges will be filed.

11:17 p.m. – E Main Street caller reported a suspicious vehicle behind the store. Vehicle was located and found to be occupied by two parties. They were advised they could not park there and sent on their way.

Saturday, Dec. 9

1:36 a.m. – Packard Road 911 call with nothing heard on the line; upon call back phone was answered and immediately disconnected before silent call procedure could be initialized. Caller was called back two more times and they disconnected. OPD was informed by APD that APD was receiving similar 911 calls from number earlier. Police located caller and spoke with him (was uncooperative and denied making any 911 calls). Police gave them a warning about misuse of 911 and advised he will be charged if the calls continue without an emergency.

2:14 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway report of an unwanted person. Situation was mediated by the reporting party exiting the motel. Money refunded and all belongings picked up by the reporting party.

5:40 p.m. – W River Street animal complaint that a friend’s dog had been attacked near the bus station. Another caller reported that their boyfriend, who is hearing impaired and had a Pitbull service dog, were both attacked by another dog that was off leash. Animal Control officer (ACO) was notified and will follow up with both parties.

7:35 p.m. – Roche Avenue disturbance. OPD responded and spoke with both parties involved. It was found to be a verbal altercation regarding their dogs getting into a fight earlier this evening. The situation was mediated, and they were advised that the Animal Control officer will follow up with the earlier incident tomorrow.

Sunday, Dec. 10

12:36 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in from Roche Avenue area reported vandalism and believed a known party stole her wood stove with pipe. When asked, reporting party stated it was due to an altercation the previous day. OPD responded and checked but no evidence/lead. Officer spoke with other involved party who denied all.

Monday, Dec. 11

8:18 p.m. – W Main Street caller reported a motor vehicle theft. Upon police arrival reporting party stated that he lent his vehicle to someone a few hours ago (to go to Athol) but he hadn’t returned. APD was given the BOLO and advised to have vehicle operator return to Orange. Investigated and report filed.

Tuesday, Dec 12

8:37 a.m. – Packard Road caller reported vandalism. that on two different occasions someone had cut the wires to his Christmas lights. Setting up additional cameras.

Wednesday, Dec. 13

9:44 a.m. – Bacon Street warrant arrest of Cherilee Shaw, 50.

9:03 p.m. – E Main Street shoplifting incident. Individual was trespassed from the property.
