It’s been quite the winter season for the Franklin County Hockey Association 14U Green team.

The club nabbed a championship in the Tier IV Small Division at the Massachusetts Hockey State Tournament, and followed that up this past weekend with another big performance. FCHA defended its title in the Greater Springfield League playoffs, taking down Ludlow Morton in the finals on Sunday to post back-to-back championships after also winning in 2023.

FCHA Green clinched the No. 1 seed in the GSL playoffs, and took down No. 4 Springfield Jr Yellow Jackets McGuillicuddy in the semifinal round on Saturday at the Olympia Ice Center in West Springfield.

On Sunday against Ludlow, FCHA sealed the deal with a tidy 3-1 victory at the Olympia to repeat as champs.

The team was supported by strong defense from goalies Senji Kimura and Ben Johnston, and defensemen Wayde Bardwell, Sam Bucala, Colby Robinson and Logan Tyler.

FCHA received solid offensive performances from Dominic McKay, Chase Zraunig, Nico Siano, Jed Amstein, Ethan Ahnert, Jack Boron, Andrew Hill, Nolan Kalinowski and Zack Hollister helped propel the team to victory.

FCHA was coached by Alex Siano, Joe Robinson and Brian Bucala.
