Monday, Aug. 131:52 p.m. — East River Street caller reports receiving a picture on his phone from subject with a rope around his neck. Advised he did call the police yesterday concerned he was suicidal. Officer enroute and requests standby on ambulance until he investigates. Advises they are attempting to locate the male party inside the residence. Officer advises he is on scene, parents have just arrived and he will be clearing shortly. Party said the picture was a misunderstanding. He assured officer he has no desire to hurt himself. No visible marks or evidence that indicated he was attempting to harm himself. His parents arrived home and they were updated on the situation and they advised that they will keep an eye on him and call police if they have concerns.
4:40 p.m. — Motor vehicle complaint South Main Street. Party states while she was at the lights by the Post Office, a dark blue Nissan Titan ran the red light and almost hit her. Truck parked, male operator wearing a baseball hat advised of complaint. Operator stated he went through a yellow light. No impairment noted.
5:18 p.m. — Officer wanted, East River Street, regarding ex reentering the home and dropping off a child support check. Upon call back he stated he is supposed to call or text before coming to the home and did not. Stated he put the check through the mail slot. He will stay away from the property altogether.
5:52 p.m. — Service call, Rosemont Avenue; for 85-year-old female lift assist. She is in living room and the door is locked.
6:16 p.m. — Medical emergency, Cheney Street.
6:19 p.m. — Medical emergency, North Main Street.
7:44 p.m. — 911 call from Haskins Road, hang-up. On call back, spoke to male who said he called because he wanted to shoot himself in the head but changed his mind. Did not give name or location. Pinged phone; spoke to Vernont State Police and Northfield, Vt. police advised he will be searching that area. Called number back, female answered who said husband made the call. She is parked by a church in Erving. States he is walking on Route 2. Would not give other info in locating husband and she does not trust the police. All units responded to area. On scene officer advises the male is threatening suicide by cop. K9 requested. Brattleboro police advises he has no weapons registered to him. CPAC located subject walking at the Route 2/Route 2A split. Ambulance requested then canceled. Officer transported subject to Athol Hospital, followed by State Police. Officer conducted an article search along Route 2.
9:17 p.m. — Larceny reported, East River Street. Caller reports Playstation4 stolen from his house within past 7 days. Report taken.
11:46 p.m. — Verbal warning issued to motorist stopped on East Main Street for front plate violation.
