ORANGE — The state Department of Transportation (MassDOT) announced Wednesday that the Brookside Road Bridge over the Pan Am railroad will be closed until further notice after inspectors identified a bridge deck issue.
“This closure is necessary to keep traffic off this bridge while material is ordered, and time is allotted for emergency repairs,” a MassDOT press release states.
Drivers will be directed to take Rogers Avenue to Route 2A and then take Daniel Shays Highway. Road closure signs and detour signs will be posted, according to MassDOT. A map of the detour can be found at bit.ly/3yW2Jml.
