CORNING, NY — Marjorie J. Fellows of Corning, formerly of Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home early Sunday morning, January 13, 2019, surrounded by music and her family.

Born in 1937 in Leverett, MA to Raymond Carey and Gertrude (Maynard) Carey, she graduated from New Salem Academy in 1954, after which she completed an Associate's Degree at Northampton Business College. She worked in Massachusetts as an executive secretary early in her career, and later as a bank teller, loan officer, and as a real estate paralegal before retiring. A trained soprano, she sang light opera in college, and continued to sing in her church choir and local theater groups throughout her life. After living in Warwick, MA for many years, she retired first to Little River, SC, and then Corning, NY.

Marge is survived by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Theodore A. Fellows; their daughter Carrie Fellows; son-in-law E. Mark Texel; sisters Lois Coffin and Lora Leduc; brothers Wayne and Gerald Carey; step-grandsons Jacob and Andrew Texel; and her cat, Willow.

Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Marge's life on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:15 am at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 171 West Pulteney Street, Corning. The Rev. Gary McCaslin will officiate.
