Alden Booth and Paul Hausman marked the unofficial end to the tennis season in Franklin County with an impressive performance over the weekend.

Booth and Hausman captured the title at the annual Greenfield Tennis Association Fall Classic Doubles Tournament at Highland Park, as the duo defeated defending champions Tim Prevost and Trevor Bross, 7-6, 6-3, in the championship match.

A record 13 teams entered the tourney, capping a banner year for tennis in the area. All season, tennis players from all over Franklin County have flocked to town to play on the unique red clay courts of Greenfield.

Tournament sponsor Greenfield Tennis Association would like to thank the City of Greenfield, Department of Public works, Greenfield Rec. Department and the many, many tennis players for supporting the clay courts in Greenfield.
