Local finishers at the 127th Boston Marathon

The 127th running of the Boston Marathon took place on Monday, with 10 Franklin County residents heading out to complete the 26.2 mile course. 

Odin Moore of Conway was the top finisher in the area, as the 19-year-old completed the course in a time of 2 hours, 49 minutes and 20 seconds. That time for the recent PVCICS graduate was good enough for 1,667th overall.

Westfield State track and field alum Amy O’Sullivan was the top female finisher in Franklin County, as the 22-year-old came across the finish line in a time of 2:59:21. That time had the Greenfield native as the 253rd woman across.

South Deerfield’s Amy Rusiecki finished yet another Boston Marathon, this time crossing in 3:33:49.

Two other Greenfield runners completed the marathon on Monday, with Nicole Williamson finishing in a time of 3:51:06 and Neal Gifford coming across in a time of 3:21:40.

A pair of Montague runners, Amy Bowse and Shannon Guilbault, competed on Monday, Bowse finishing in a time of 3:51:45 while Guilbault completed the marathon in 5:47:52. 

Grant Ritter and David Theoharides also represented South Deerfield on Monday. Ritter finished in a time of 3:40:28 while Theoharides arrived at the finish line at 3:34:20.

Sunderland’s Jeffrey Ahlman finished in a time of 3:04:55 while Wendell’s Nancy Mead made it through the course in a time of 5:07:44.
