Athol Police Logs: June 15-16, 2021

Tuesday, June 15

9:06 a.m. – 911 call for 76-year-old with shortness of breath. Transported to the hospital.

10:21 a.m. – Athol Fire Department requested police assistance to Marble Street with a truck that was blocking the road. Upon arrival it was noted that the vehicle was parked approximately 3 feet away from the curb. Operator was located and educated about acceptable parking parameters.

10:40 a.m. – Pequoig Avenue caller requested a welfare check on their son. Officers spoke with both involved parties.

11:14 a.m. – New Sherborn Road caller reported a suspicious person on that had been on their porch asking about school aged children in the area. Officers advised the subject of the process for soliciting in town and was send on their way.

11:15 a.m. – Pleasant Street traffic stop for speed and inspection violation.

11:18 a.m. – Community policing in the central business district.

12:59 p.m. – Pequoig Avenue caller reported an unwanted person(s) on the premises. Parties were escorted off the property per the owner’s request.

1:59 p.m. – Main Street and Lake Ellis Road traffic detail to assist with the buses.

Wednesday, June 16

1:15 a.m. – Main and Summer streets traffic stop for speeding.

5:49 a.m. – South Main Street traffic stop for speeding.

10:23 a.m. – Report of a motor vehicle accident at Pinedale Avenue and Pinedale Road. Officer also checking for dog at Pinedale. Report taken.

10:53 a.m. – Assistance from Fire Department, ME and CPAC requested at Crescent Street. Ariel Ladder and Special Ops to assist Police.

12:39 p.m. – Main Street caller reported an individual wearing black shorts seemed to be causing an issue in Soap & Suds.

1:10 p.m. – Main Street caller reported an individual wearing black shorts bothering customers and asking them for money. Gone on arrival.

1:26 p.m. – Main Street caller reported an individual wearing black shorts appeared to punching the sign in front of the Post Office. Gone on arrival.

1:32 p.m. – Hampstead Place caller reported a man and a vehicle in their driveway that is insisting that he owns the property. Vehicle was moved.
