Pena, Rose to be guests at NQTA meeting

ORANGE — North Quabbin Trails Assoication will meet March 3 in the Orange Innovation Center on West Main Street for its monthly gathering.

Bri Pena of Mount Wachusett Community College and Al Rose of Red Apple Farm will speak. The meeting is at 6 p.m. Those in attendance should bring a dish to share at dinner. Each meeting starts with a communal meal.

Pena is the college’s career development coach. She will talk about a new program at the school for ages 17 to 29. Students from around the area are expected to attend.

Rose’s talk will focus on the history of the lineage of generational changes Red Apple Farm. It will emphasize the business change from patriarch Bill Rose to Al Rose’s vision of development of the business model, “A Country Experience.”

The NQTA custom-designed Red Apple’s trail system in a personal laboratory of tick eradication, blazing, proper mapping and trail development.

Red Apple Farm is one of the area’s leading youth employers during it’s seasonal cycle, so young people are encouraged to attend.
