Athol Police Log: June 6-7

Thursday, June 6

11:05 p.m. — Alarm company is reporting a burglar alarm activation at a business, Main Street. Officer checked the property, all secure.

11:21 p.m. — Motor vehicle stop for studded snow tire violation and defective equipment (left headlight out), Main and Church streets. Warning issued.

11:48 p.m. — Athol DPW requesting police assistance at a residence, Lenox Street. Homeowner was upset with DPW because he believed the sewer issue was the town’s responsibility to fix. DPW found the issue falls on the property owner and advised that he needed to contact a private plumber and have the issue corrected.

Friday, June 7

3:59 a.m. — 911 caller requesting an ambulance for a fall, Rice Street.

7:25 a.m. — Caller requesting an officer to residence as he is having an issue with the next door neighbor leaving their trash on his front lawn, Cottage Street.

8:00 a.m. — Walk-in to speak to an officer in regards to harassing texts that she is getting from her ex-boyfriend, Estabrook Street. Advised of Harassment Prevention Order (HARPO) through court.

8:32 a.m. — Caller reporting an independent contractor with a power washing truck has tapped into one of the fire hydrants, Silver Lake Street and West Royalston Road. Prior to the officer’s arrival, the water department called and stated that the party has permission.

9:42 a.m. — Officer out with a loose golden retriever, White Pond Road. Dog returned to owner.

9:56 a.m. — Party to speak to an officer regarding a no trespass order, Union Street.

9:59 a.m. — Catholic Charities calling for a well being check on a party that is not answering the door or the phone, Gibson Drive. Entry made via key. Subject was located inside and it was determined an ambulance was needed.

10:31 a.m. — Party in the lobby to speak to an officer regarding a lost/stolen cell phone, Sanders Street. Party states she is in the process of moving/evicted from residence and has lost or her phone was stolen. Party believes it could be the subject they let live with them in order to supplement income.

12:01 p.m. — Officer speaking with a male subject regarding past larceny, School and Riverbend streets.

12:03 p.m. — Ambulance requested for unknown medical, School and Riverbend streets.

12:40 p.m. — Subject requesting to speak to an officer regarding some property he has stored in a garage, Cottage Street.

12:54 p.m. — Report of a possible violation of harassment order, Main Street.
