Orange Police Log: May 22

Wednesday, May 22

8:08 a.m. — Disturbance, Fairman Road. Caller reporting two people fighting; windows are shaking because they’re banging around so hard. All quiet on arrival. Spoke with occupants.

9:05 a.m. — Safety hazard, Holtshire Road. Message left for highway department for small tree in road.

10:15 a.m. — Party to station to inquire about a custody issue. He has custody of his child and his ex is allowed one hour visits in a common area. Ex wanted to meet at her apartment and he would not go there. Wanted on record that he attempted to allow her to visit the child, but they could not agree on a place.

10:28 a.m. — Report that a tractor trailer unit took down traffic lights and continued east bound, East Main Street. Located TT unit on East Main. Operator claims he did not hit any traffic lights. There was no noticeable damage to the TT. Orange Highway looked at the traffic light and there was no damage; lights just needed to be adjusted.

2:29 p.m. — Caller states she has children in common with a subject and brings them to Winchester NH to visit family and subject is threatening her with kidnapping charges. There is nothing in the court order saying she cannot do this. She was advised this would not be kidnapping.

3:38 p.m. — Threat, Memorial Drive. Male to station reporting that he is getting threats from a female which he met through Facebook. After multiple chats and explicit video chat, this female is threatening him in terms of money. Advised of options.

4:07 p.m. — Officer wanted, West Main Street, for 15-year-old client who claims she was “jumped” by unknown parties while on her way to the OIC building. Upon arrival, victim stated three men came out from behind the burned-down house on West Main Street and punched her in the face. EMS evaluated her on-scene. She provided a description of one of the men.Units were unable to locate. Under investigation.

6:18 p.m. — Party reporting item that looks like a weapon (sickle) in middle of the road at South Main Street intersection. Same was crowbar and was removed.

8:51 p.m. — Water Street caller advising they have a party there who lost his vehicle. Officer spoke with person who parked somewhere in the center of town to walk around and could not locate his vehicle. Party was provided a transport back to his home in Athol.

8:53 p.m. — Caller requested welfare check on East River Street party. Officers found partially opened screen door; announced selves and went inside to check. Negative contact.

9:22 p.m. — Caller reporting male and female walking toward downtown arguing, not sure if it was physical, West Main Street. Located; inside for the night.

10:22 p.m. — Disturbance, Brookside Road. Caller states party pushed her down and broke her phone. Does not need an ambulance. Party left in his pickup which is loud, heading to Athol. Advised he is intoxicated and has no weapons. Athol Police advised to stop and hold.
