Narragansett Regional celebrates National Foreign Language Week

  • The Narragansett Regional High School International Club in Templeton curated many educational activities and events the past week for National Foreign Language Week.  An energetic school-wide interactive performance of Brazilian Beats with Marcus Santos and Grooversity helped kickoff the week's festivities. Later in the week, International Club Co-Advisors Steven Latorre and Marjorie Chase accompanied students to the University Of Massachusetts Fine Arts Center Concert Hall in Amherst for the North American tour of "Kodo Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble," which is dedicated to the recreation of traditional Japanese performing arts, focusing on taiko drumming. —Submitted photo
