High schools: Mahar field hockey tops Mohawk

Three players scored for the Mahar field hockey in a 3-2 win over Mohawk, in Orange Tuesday.

It was an important early Bi County match up for the Senators (2-1, 1-1). Anna Wetherbee, Gracie Marsh and Aileen Fitzgerald all scored unnassisted for Mahar.

Bella Marigliano made four saves for the Senators.

Girls soccer

Athol 6, Hopkins Academy 3 — Grace Dufour and Ally Ramond scored twice, as the Red Raiders won on the road.

Angelica Baptista and Shelby Mailloux also scored for Athol.

Hailey Wrigley made eight saves for Athol (2-1, 2-1 Pioneer North).

Girls volleyball

Mahar 3, Greenfield 0 — The Senators swept the Green Wave on the road, 25-8, 26-24 and 25-9.

Jordyn Berry led Mahar (2-1) with five kills while Aria Flematti played set up with 10 assists. Flematti also had six service aces.

Leading the defense was Carissa Johnson with five digs.
