ATHOL — The Friends of the Athol Public Library’s Accessories Sale is back and scheduled to begin on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m. At the 2019 sale, shoppers were wowed by the wide selection of quality items available for bargain prices. This year’s event is shaping up to feature an even larger array of personal accessories at the same low prices enjoyed last time.

The Friends, a nonprofit group that helps support programming and special events at the library, has put together a fabulous collection of pre-loved jewelry featuring bracelets, earrings, rings, pins, brooches and more. There are indoor fashion scarves, purses, pocket books, ties and totes. With the local supply chain fully operational and no shortage of inventory, shoppers will find a little something for everyone.

Items are priced to sell with most pieces costing from 50 cents to $5. Perfect for giving or keeping, come to the library and shop gently used accessories. The Friends book sale room will be open and filled with new and lightly used reading choices in many genres. They will have canvas tote bags and notecards for sale featuring images of the library.

In addition to the Accessories Sale, the library will be hosting vendors without a brick and mortar location who are participating in the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce Midnight Madness event, also happening on Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bargains will be available until midnight. Anyone looking to get an early start on Midnight Madness activities should come check out the Friends’ Accessories Sale from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the library.

Proceeds from the sale will be used by the Friends to help the library continue to provide free, quality programming and activities to all members of the community. The Athol Public Library is located at 568 Main St. in Athol. Visit online at AtholLibrary.org or call 978-249-9515 for more information.
