Saturday, April 14

1:57 p.m. — Caller reporting that his son’s sweatshirt was stolen from the wall of the church while he was running the 5K, School Street. Dark green with white string and light-colored fuzzy inside. Wanted on record in case it turns up.

2 p.m. — Caller requesting to speak to an officer regarding someone rummaging through his mail, Lake Street. Caller states a piece of mail, not belonging to him, was ripped up. At this time, no other mail has been tampered with or stolen.

2:53 p.m. — Residential burglar alarm activation, Mount Pleasant Street.

2:59 p.m. — Shelburne Dispatch called regarding an off duty police officer witnessing a disturbance between a male and female walking down the street, Partridgeville Road. Mother and her son were transported to Tully and left with sober subject.

4:42 p.m. — Caller stating that at the carnival, female party spit in her son’s face and she would like to talk to an officer regarding the incident, Wallingford Avenue. Advised of her right to seek charges against the female party for simple assault against her son. If she chooses, she will be going to Orange District Court.

6:40 p.m. — Caller reporting a suspicious person climbing through a window of a neighboring house, Kennebunk Street. Subject was a friend of the residents and was trying to make contact. No problems.

7:01 p.m. — Walk-in to station to report harassing text messages, Crescent Street. Parties were advised to seek harassment order in court against parties. They were also told to call police if they felt in danger at any time.

7:15 p.m. — OPD using BT machine.

7:38 p.m. — Shelburne called about a report of an erratic vehicle with an expired registration, Daniel Shays Highway. Several marked lane violations. No sign of impairment. Advised that he could not drive motor vehicle until it is properly registered.

8:38 p.m. — Caller reporting loud music coming from a neighboring apartment, Main Street. While approaching the apartment there was no loud music playing. Party advised that if she was playing loud music to please lower volume because they were disturbing neighbors.

9:17 p.m. — Caller stating her son is not home and he does not have permission to be out, Vine Street. Would like assistance getting him home.

9:18 p.m. — Suspicious vehicle, Washington Avenue.

9:30 p.m. — Caller stating there was a fight in progress between a male and a female, Euclid Street and Lake Ellis Road. Spoke with homeowner and several subjects inside residence. They state that there had been a car at the house with some youths causing a disturbance with one of the house guests. Nothing physical transpired and the vehicle left prior to officers’ arrival. Checked residence and no one inside was injured or said that they needed police assistance.

10:53 p.m. — Caller stating that she was being threatened by some individuals and she would like to talk to an officer, School Street. All is quiet.

Sunday, April 15

12:52 a.m. – Caller stating a male party was drunk outside her house and was lying in the road, South Main Street. OPD has male in custody, going to try and make contact with family member at residence. Party transported by OPD officer to subject’s parents who took custody of him.

1:06 a.m. – Fire alarm, Main Street. Caller stating fire alarm was going off and she could smell something. Also received call from fire alarm company. Smoke in building caused by burned food.

9:40 a.m. – Walk-in to station to request an officer standby while another party gets belongings from a residence, Wilson Avenue. Per the reporting party, they are canceling the request for police assistance. The exchange already took place without any issues.
