Friday, Oct. 9

12:14 a.m. — 911 call for a male party, possible overdose, Main Street. CPR in progress, party is still unconscious. Assisted AFD. Party transported to Athol Hospital.

4:29 a.m. — Caller reporting trash that was thrown out at the end of his driveway, South Main Street. Officer gathered items with ID and will attempt to contact subject. Paperwork, boxes and clothing on ground covered with used cat litter. Message left to have DPW shovel up.

7:10 a.m. — Caller states tree to the right of his house in the woods has fallen on the line to the house and is now arcing when the wind blows and causing the power to fluctuate, Conant Road. National Grid notified.

7:27 a.m. — Caller is concerned male party is coming to Athol, Exchange Street. Officer gathered information.

9:31 a.m. — Caller states large branch hanging on the wires, Chestnut and Harugari streets. Unable to gather more information due to cell service issues. Officer states branch is on cable/phone wire. Verizon was contacted and will check it out.

9:38 a.m. — Engine 3 responded for smoke in the area, Riverbend Street. Small trash fire in back of house. No one answering the door. Extinguished fire. Unable to make contact via phone.

9:44 a.m. — Caller requesting to speak with an officer about scam calls, Walnut Street. Called back and is having phone issues. He will come to station later today.

10:37 a.m. — Subject into the lobby to report someone hit his car, South Main Street. Reporting party stated damage must have occurred sometime since Wednesday, not sure where he was when it occurred. Officer viewed damage to passenger side front door.
