Athol Police Log: Dec. 7-10, 2021

Tuesday, Dec. 7

8:39 a.m. – Police station walk-in to speak to an officer about harassment. Witness statement was filled out by the reporting party. The case, at that time, was pending investigation.

10:49 a.m. – State Police inquired if there was an officer available to assist with a violent fugitive apprehension in the Harrington Street area. Officers assisted with taking subject into custody.

11:26 a.m. – Sanders Street caller would like to speak to an officer about a neighbor who was acting suspicious. Reporting party had video of his actions.

11:55 p.m. – Chestnut Street caller reported their trash can was missing.

1:36 p.m. – Pinedale Avenue caller reported a trespassing incident. Officers located the subject on property. He was advise that a fence around a property means you cannot just walk onto the property.

1:51 p.m. – Police station walk-in reported a possible fraud/scam and that someone was using their information.

5:17 p.m. – Caller from Main Street area reported an apparently intoxicated male party just urinated outside her apartment window. Male party was picked up by father. Reporting party was advised to fill out statements regarding the incident, but did not show up to fill them out.

5:19 p.m. – Motor vehicle accident reported in the New Athol Road area near the intersection. One party had pulled out from the parking lot of Christmas Tree Farm, the other pulled out from Hannaford and didn’t see the other vehicle. One passenger in one of the vehicles was complaining of back pain.

5:21 p.m. – Party dropped off to Police a found debit card for Athol Savings Bank. Party had found it at the ATM. Police attempted to contact cardholder.

6:12 p.m. – Main Street caller reported a female party went into his apartment while he was gone and removed property that was hers. Reporting party was advised of his options for 209A. Reporting party was also advised that the female party had been residing there since early 2021 and that she was considered a tenant and would need to be evicted.

Wednesday, Dec. 8

4:11 a.m. – Prospect Street caller reported a suspicious occupied truck that was parked in front of his residence. Police believed it to be a Spectrum truck working on the lines. Nothing else was observed.

11:28 a.m. – A three-car motor vehicle accident in front of the High School was reported. One person was brought to AMH, and two vehicles were towed.

11:44 a.m. – Two-car motor vehicle accident on Main Street. Police requested assistance with towing the vehicle(s).

1:47 p.m. – Silver Lake Street caller reported the back of the school was open. Appropriate party notified and door secured.

1:54 p.m. – Pequoig Avenue caller reported someone stole the stuff inside her package which was on her doorstep. Officer spoke with party who reported her package was delivered with nothing in it. Information was taken, a report will follow.

1:56 p.m. – Police station walk-in reported that the previous night a male party had been drinking and exposed himself in front of herself and her 4-year-old daughter. Officer spoke to the reporting party and advised her to speak with landlord, and to go through the court to get a no trespass order and no contact order.

Thursday, Dec. 9

11:38 p.m. – Athol Memorial Hospital requested assistance with a combative female.

Friday, Dec. 10

3:04 a.m. – Lakeview Avenue caller reported hearing dog barking for last 45 minutes straight. Officers checked the area, negative contact.

3:51 a.m. – Laurel Street caller reported a male party that is staying there broke into his bedroom and assaulted him with a mop. Reporting party, at that time, had a bat to defend himself because he pushed his wife. All parties refused an ambulance. Ongoing issue with all members of the house. All were advised of court options. The Board of Health, Fire Department, and Building Department were to be notified.

4:27 a.m. – Traffic enforcement of Winter Parking Ban in the Walnut Street area.

6:46 a.m. – Caller reported a two-car motor vehicle accident at Chestnut Hill Avenue and Main Street. There were no personal injuries, leaking fluids and no air bag deployment.

6:54 a.m. – Caller from Silver Lake Street and Wilson Avenue reported kids at bus stop started a small fire to keep warm. Situation investigated by Police.
