TEMPLETON — The Narragansett Historical Society will present its annual “Go Fly a Kite” event on Sunday, starting at noon. Organizers want to achieve the goal of  flying 100 kites at one time.

The event will be held off of Baldwinville Road in a field between the Common and Narragansett Regional School. Look for signs on where to park and join the fun. A hay ride shuttle will be available to the field from marked parking spots if needed. The event will not be held in inclement weather. All are welcome. There is no cost to attend, and attendees can bring their own kites or build one for $5. A barbecue lunch will be available for purchase.

The event includes giant bubbles, tractor pulls, antique tractors and cars on display, as well as live music by HooDoo Highway until 5 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Narragansett Historical Society, Templeton Cultural Council and JBM. For more information, call Julie at 978-257-6404.
