8-9:45 a.m. — Foot screening, Athol Senior Center, 82 Freedom St., Athol. For more information: 978-249-8986.

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — Books for Babies sewing party, hosted by Literacy Volunteers of Orange/Athol, as party of the annual United Way’s Day of Caring, at the Athol Public Library, 568 Main St. Supplies and tools will be provided to sew cloth bags to be filled with books for the very young. 

4-7:30 p.m. — Story Walk® sponsored by Valuing Our Children. Sign boards with pages from books on them are set up along Millers River Park for participants to read at their own pace. Afterward, participants can do a fun activity in the Children's Library. No registration. All ages can participate.

5-7 p.m. — Mild Knights Chess Club, on the porch at Athol Public Library. Free and open to players of all skill levels. Challenge an experienced player, or learn to play.

1-2 p.m. Tech Help Tuesdays, at the Athol Public Library. Have a question about your phone, tablet, or apps, etc? Ask the experts. Free, and open to the public. Walk-in, no registration required. 

6 p.m. — Finding Hope Support Group for adult women who are survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Meets 1st & 3rd Tuesdays at Athol Congregational Church, 1225 Chestnut St., Athol. Contact: Jenna Sujdak 774-286-0561 or soprano193@yahoo.com.

Wednesday, Aug. 21

11 a.m. to noon — Blood pressure clinic, Athol Senior Center, 82 Freedom St., Athol. 

2-4 p.m. — Orange Historical Society, 41 North Main St., Orange is open for tours of its three-story house and barn, or by appointment 978-544-3141.
