Nashoba Symphonic Band in concert Feb. 10

BOLTON — The Nashoba Symphonic Band, under the direction of David W. Bailey, will present “Tales of the British Isles,” the second chapter of a season titled “Once Upon a Time…” on Sunday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m. in the Nashoba Regional High School Auditorium, (12 Green Rd, Bolton; Rte 117 West of Town Center).

Presenting classics of the wind band literature, the Nashoba Symphonic Band will perform lively marches, selections from Leroy Anderson’s Irish Suite and Henry Cowell’s Celtic Set, a musical love letter to the Isle of Man, memorable tunes from Lionel Bart’s delightful score for Oliver!, and the complete Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Aldridge Grainger.

The concert is free and open to the public (goodwill donations accepted at the door). Families with children are encouraged to attend. There is a brief intermission at the concert during which refreshments are available.

Nashoba Symphonic Band, under the auspices of Nashoba Friends of Music, is an instrumental ensemble of over one hundred musicians of all ages from more than 30 towns in Central Massachusetts and the Greater Boston area.
