Athol Police Log: June 16

Sunday, June 16

12:59 p.m. — Party requested escort to get belongings from a house he had been living at on Sanders Street. Advised he would call tomorrow and try to set something up.

1:58 p.m. — Suspicious activity, Main Street. Officer checking vehicle with occupant inside. Party was looking on her phone, no signs of impairment.

2:19 p.m. — Ambulance responded to Coolidge Parkway.

3:59 p.m. — Request for welfare check, Beacon Street. 911 caller reporting toddler wandering around outside in the rain. Caller’s son saw him out the window and she went outside to get him; there were no parents around. Toddler was dirty, not hurt, with a full diaper. Officer filed 51A with Department of Children and Families; mother was sleeping and child walked out of the house.

5;45 p.m. — Suspicious activity, Old Keene Road. Party reports son-in-law was returning a loose dog to its home and noticed that all of the doors to the home were open and no one was there.

6:05 p.m. — Suspicious activity, Park Street. Party calling to say that her house had been egged. Does not want a report to be made, just wanted it noted.

7:10 p.m. — Party in lobby with questions about a suspicious phone call she received, Burma Road. Advised to block the caller.

8:30 p.m. — 911 hangup call, Main Street. Upon call back party stated no emergency and was trying to reach the hospital. Officer standing by to transport female party to Athol Hospital. Courtesy transport provided.

9:03 p.m. — 911 caller reporting 21-year-old female with right side numbness and head pain from a concussion she had a month back, Brookside Road.

9:21 p.m. — Employee calling about a bag of white powdery substance found in the theater, Reservoir Drive. Found bag full of sugar, disposed of same.

9:43 p.m. — Petersham Road caller requesting a wellness check on a 78-year-old female he has not heard from since 2 a.m. Contact made.

11:37 p.m. — Main Street; caller reporting a suspicious male party in a black car always stalking her. Subject left prior to police arrival.

11:56 p.m. — School Street caller reports she was just assaulted by a female party and is now going up to Athol Hospital for injuries; no other information given. Checked several locations for reporting party, negative contact. 

Monday, June 17

2:21 a.m. — Breaking and entering reported, Silver Lake Street. Caller reporting someone just broke into her car; suspect just drove off in a silver Jeep Cherokee. Party called back to complain about multiple parties yelling outside and walking around the street when she is trying to sleep. Officers back to address for noise complaint. Subjects reporting car window broken and items taken. Area checked for suspect vehicle with negative contact.

3:29 a.m. — Suspicious activity, Green Street. E-911 caller reporting several people are knocking on the doors in the building. Subjectreporting missing money advised of options. Sent on way.

6:54 a.m. — 911 hangup call, Bearsden Road. On call back, nothing but dead air. No location ping available. Watch Commander advised.
