Russell A. Blanchard

ORANGE — Russell A. Blanchard, age 84, died Monday, March 13, 2017, at Heywood Hospital.

Russell was born April 28, 1932, in Hinsdale, N.H. He is the son of the late Harold W. and the late Sylvia (Pickett) Blanchard.

He grew up in Hinsdale, N.H., and Greenfield, Mass., graduating from Greenfield High School in 1950. He lived in many different places throughout his life including Texas and Oklahoma, returning to Greenfield and since 2008 has resided in Orange.

Russell worked as a truck driver for many years, also working at the former Greenfield Tap & Die Company and Norman Carme Surveyor in Northampton.

He enjoyed traveling and building different types of models.

He is survived by one sister, Muriel Bruso of Turners Falls, and one brother, Allan Blanchard of Bernardston, and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother, Wayne Blanchard, and his sisters, Roberta Blanchard and Valarie Canon.
