Athol Police Logs: Feb 19 to Feb. 27

Monday Feb. 19

12:03 a.m. - Welfare check requested on Crescent Street. Caller reporting someone sitting on the bridge. No contact with anyone matching the description of person on bridge.

12:52 a.m. - Business/building check on Daniel Shays Highway. Officer reports all secure.

7:27 a.m. - Female party on Gibson Drive would like to report she was assaulted last night (02/18) and would like to press charges. Incident was already reported and APD responded. Advised to speak with officers from previous call. RP also stated she was missing her keys and believe someone picked them up off the ground after being assaulted. RP did not see who it was. Spoke with subjects. Male found them on the ground and is bringing them to her now.

2:26 p.m. - Male party on Lynde Street reporting he has a sewer main clog. Water Department notified.

9:25 p.m. Suspicious person reported on Tower Road. Manager reporting two individuals who were acting erratic and agitated towards staff members are waiting outside of the store. Parties were gone on arrival.

Wednesday, Feb. 21

1:38 p.m. - Female party reporting motor vehicle crash. Reporting party reported vehicle struck her when she was parked in front of the post office. Officer viewed what appeared to be minor damage to the drivers side front bumper cover and fender.

2:48 p.m. - Female party requesting an officer for the male party causing a disturbance. Reporting party stated she would like him removed and also stated he broke into the building. Reporting party requested to remain anonymous.

Thursday, Feb. 22

5:34 p.m. - Party in the lobby reporting an identity fraud scam. Parties did not give out any information or money. Reporting party was contacted who said the DEA would be after them due to an owed amount of $2.7 million. Advised this is a scam and to not answer any more phone calls from this person.

9:57 p.m. - Noise complaint at South Main and Mount Pleasant Street. Caller reporting she heard gunshots by the old country convenience over the bridge. Officer checked the area, all was well.

Friday, Feb. 23

8:47 p.m. - Motor vehicle stop at Main and Canal Streets. Citation issued for driving on Main Street without headlights on and for operating a motor vehicle with suspended license. Passenger and driver switched seats.

Saturday, Feb. 24

9:36 a.m. - Caller reporting her daughter’s car is not where she left it from an earlier incident. Units are checking the area. Vehicle is in the driveway. No issues.

9:38 a.m. - Caller reporting that her self storage unit has been emptied out and everything is missing. After speaking with the party it was determined she mixed up the units and everything was all set.

Sunday, Feb. 25

9:59 a.m. - Disturbance call reported at Morton Meadows - Female party reporting she hears a man and woman screaming at each other in another apartment. Reporting party requested to remain anonymous. Both parties were arguing about using the shower. Verbal only. Parties were advised of the complaint.

Monday, Feb. 26

11:33 a.m. - Female party from Old Keene Road reporting grey/white pitbull with no collar in her yard barking at her through the window. Animal Control Officer advised.

 

1:35 p.m. - Male party into the lobby requesting to speak an officer to talk about an ongoing issue he has with the way the elections are conducted.

Monday, Feb. 27

10:47 a.m. - Female party called to report that she is having issues with her internet through Spectrum. The reporting party believes she has devices hidden inside of her apartment and are hacking her internet. Female party has an ongoing issue with her landlord as well as issues with cameras on the property.

11:18 a.m. - Property manager requesting officers for a disturbance with a tenant. Spoke to all parties involved. Landlord and tenant got into a verbal argument about issues inside the apartment. The tenant admitting to being mad and yelling at the landlord. The landlord was reporting that the tenant was yelling at all of his employees. Due to the verbal aggression, the landlord called the Athol Police Department. The landlord is addressing all the issues inside the property for the tenant. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other and if they were to get into another argument to separate and call for police assistance.
