Phyllis G. Boudreau
ORANGE — Phyllis Gertrude (Culley) Boudreau, 94, of Prentiss Street, died January 8, 2018 on her 94th birthday, at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield.
Born in Athol on January 8, 1924 to Wilfred Culley and Ethel (Teague)Culley La Coste and grew up in Athol and attended schools there.
Phyllis married Alfred J. Boudreau on July 10, 1943 and enjoyed 73 years of marriage until Alfred’s passing on October 26, 2016.
Phyllis worked at the L. S. Starrett Company in Athol for many years.
An avid golfer, Phyllis and Alfred were members of Thomas Memorial Golf Club in Turners Falls for many years. Both played and enjoyed the game well into their 90’s.
Phyllis also enjoyed archery and was a former member of the Pequoig Bowmen’s Club in Athol.
Survivors include several nephews, nieces and cousins; and a longtime dear friend, Nancy Adams and special neighbors, Donald and Roberta (Bobbie) Johnson.
Besides her husband, parents an step father, Rosario La Coste, Phyllis was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Valentine, and brother, Wilfred.
There are no calling hours.
A graveside service will be held in Silver Lake Cemetery in Athol later in the spring.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main Street, Orange, is directing the arrangements.
