Guy of Windsor, Vt.; Carol (Bob) Swanson of Grand Junction, Col.; Michael (Peggy) Pierson of Phillipston, Mass.; Gary (Mary) Pierson, of Claremont, N.H.; and Juliet Sumner and fiancee Rob Davis of Claremont, N.H. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings Donald, Dorothy, Clifford, Glenn and Lloyd; her first husband Robert N. Pierson; a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

Family members and friends fondly remember her adventurous life. For her 80th birthday she and five family members parachuted at Jumptown in Orange. In 1972, she drove an RV across the country with her six children ranging in age from under 1 to 18. She was hoping to take another ride on a motorcycle. Evelyn loved walks in the woods, bird watching and gardening. She was an accomplished knitter and seamstress, and oil painter and had worked in the nursing field for many years, having earned her licensed vocation nursing degree.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Food Pantry at Hartland Universalist Unitarian Church, P.O. Box 75, Hartland Four Corners, VT 05049 or the Epilepsy Research Foundation, 8301 Professional Place, Ste. 200, Landover, MD 20785.

Please correct: my mother resided in Brownsville, Vermont. Not Utah.
Thank you.

We apologize for the mistake, it has been corrected and will re-run with the correct state in today's paper at no extra expense as well.

Dick, Gary, Mike, Julie, Luanne and all.....I am so sorry to hear of Evelyn's passing.  We had so much fun together when she was taking care of Dora.  We went through the woods almost every day checking out flowers and ferns and laughing ourselves silly.  She was a great friend. I last spoke with her when Lloyd was not doing well.  The memories of those days and all you kids will be with me always.  Sincerely  Kaye

Thank you Kaye. You always made my mother smile.
