ATHOL — Funeral services were held for Mildred I. Blake on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home.
Rev. Edwin Montana, pastor of Our Lady Immaculate, officiated. Burial followed in Silver Lake Cemetery. Bearers were Richard Blake, Douglas Blake, Chris Blake and Donald Blanchard Jr.
Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, assisted the family with arrangements.
ATHOL — Mildred I. (Thibodeau) Blake, 93 of Athol, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
She was born Jan. 21, 1922, in Athol, daughter of the late Edward and Florence (Parron) Thibodeau, and lived in Athol all her life.
She worked for Lindsey’s Pharmacy and Grant’s Department Store and enjoyed knitting, gardening, and visiting with her family and friends.
Her husband of 43 years, Howard Blake, predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Melissa Gould, and her brother, Everett Thibodeau.
She leaves three sons, Donald Blake of Saugerties, N.Y., Douglas Blake of Palenville, N.Y., and Richard Blake of Norton, Mass.; six grandchildren, Kristy, Christopher, Scott, Stephanie, and Elizabeth Blake, and Angela Kitzmiller; one great-grandson, Aiden Quick; and one great-granddaughter, Lexis Kitzmiller.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m., in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
A calling hour will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, from noon to 1 p.m., at the funeral home.
