ATHOL— Funeral services for Richard C. Lawsky, 81, of Athol, were held Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Rev. Edwin Montana, pastor, officiated.
Burial followed in Gethsemane Cemetery. The bearers were Douglas Deane, Cooper Deane, Michael Wells, Allen Doubleday, Stanley Rotkiewicz, Eugene Darling, Mark Burton and Lawrence Wrisley.
A reception was held at the church hall of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

ATHOL — Richard C. Lawsky, 81, of Athol, died Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at Athol Hospital.
He was born in Athol on May 17, 1934, the son of the late John M. Lawsky and the late Tena (Gaudeski) Lawsky.
Richard grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.
He was the owner of A&O Auto Sales in Orange, and was previously employed at Chase Turbine of Orange and First National Grocery Store in Athol.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He was an avid sportsman, antique car buff, enjoyed competing in two-man cross cut saw competitions at local fairs, and loved Polka dancing.
He is survived by his companion Shirley Deane and five cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
