Ronald P. Cherichetti
ATHOL — Ronald P. Cherichetti, 83, of Philip Road, died at home on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, with family at this side.
Born in Keene, N.H., on June 24, 1932, he was a son of the late Angelo and Dorothy (Buzzell) Cherichetti and grew up in Orange, graduating from Orange High School in the Class of 1950.
On July 2, 1977, Ronald married Jane E. (York) and they have enjoyed 38 years together.
He was previously married to Candicia (Phillips).
Ronald had worked at the Union Twist Drill in Athol and later went to work for Brennan-Hamilton and Columbia Tool Steel, as well as Associated Steel Corporation where he was a sales manager.
Ronald was a member of SME, Society of Manufacturing and Engineering.
Devoted to his family, Ronald also enjoyed sports including the Red Sox and Patriots. He was a longtime golfer of the Petersham Country Club, as well as a lifetime member of the Athol-Orange Elks Lodge #1837. Ronald was a member of the Athol Congregational Church. Ronald also enjoyed a good game of cribbage with his friend, Brion Barrett.
Survivors include his wife, Jane Cherichetti of Athol; children, Ronnie Cherichetti and his wife, Penny Lee, of Wareham, Michael Cherichetti and his companion, Linda Hanssen, of Athol, Mark Cherichetti and his wife, Robyn, of Daytona, Fla., David Bourbeau and his wife, Florence, of Royalston, and Lori Blanchard of Richmond, N.H.; many adoring grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A calling hour will be held on Tuesday morning, Nov. 17, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. at Witty’s Funeral Home in Orange on Tuesday, Nov. 17. The Rev. Beverly Prestwood-Taylor of the Athol Congregational Church will officiate.
Interment will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol.
Witty’s Funeral Home, 158 South Main St., Orange, is directing the arrangements.
