One injured following accident on S. Main Street

At 11:01 p.m. Monday evening, Athol Fire was dispatched to S. Main Street near Haley’s Antiques for a report of a vehicle striking a utility pole, according to Deputy Chief Jeffrey Parker. One person was transported Athol Hospital and National Grid was called to the scene to replace the utility pole, which had been snapped due to the accident. It’s not known at this time how the accident happened.
