Saturday, April 8

3:30 p.m. – Station walk-in dropped off a set of keys found on East River Street.  The items were placed into lost and found.

5:38 p.m. – Stone Valley Road caller reported he had been without water since that morning and the landlord was nowhere to be found.  Reporting party requested police try and make contact with the landlord because the number given was "not taking calls at that time."  Reporting party was advised matter would be on record.

Monday, April 10

12:45 p.m. – E River Street caller reported an involved party had damaged his property.  On arrival, it was found that the landscaping hose had been run over.  Other involved party advised that he didn't see any signs. 

1:04 p.m. – Eagleville Road, caller requested police assistance with the nextdoor neighbor who was allegedly out back shooting his pellet gun towards him and his property.  Police spoke with the reporting party and witness.  It was found that the parties were out back shooting in a safe direction and manner.  Ongoing issue.

6:50 p.m. – Rogers Avenue caller advised police that the previous night a neighbor was shooting their BB gun and shot off a piece of the shingle from her roof.  Police responded and spoke with the reporting party’s about their concerns.  There was no evidence or damage found at that time to support the accusations.

12:03 p.m. – Station walk-in reported someone had tried filing for unemployment benefits in his name.  He advised that he had already contacted the unemployment office about the matter.  He was provided identity theft paperwork, was advised to monitor his credit report, and that the incident would be on record with the OPD.

1:32 p.m. – Perry Road caller he advised that her husband had seen a female party that seemed to be out of it wearing all black standing in the middle of the entrance of Perry Road .  The area was checked and the female party was unable to be located.

2:58 p.m. – Brush fire in Cottage Street area reported in the backyard that was traveling towards their garage on Cottage Street.  Reporting party stated that their neighbors normally burn their trash in the backyard.  Fire, at the time, had spread to the shed with ATV's and possible empty gas tanks.  Command advised the majority of the fire knocked down between the two sheds and was eventually extinguished.

4:53 p.m. – Police investigated an animal complaint from Ball Street of a dog attacking another dog.  Both dogs had minor injuries.  ACO was contacted and advised of the incident and will be following up with the owners.

Thursday, April 13

9:40 a.m. – Report of vandalism from Flagg Road.  Damaged mailbox.

1:16 p.m. – Report of unwanted person at Dexter Street.  Officer responded for parent that was refusing to leave and being belligerent towards staff.  Upon arrival the subject was leaving.  Subject will be verbally trespassed and charges are pending.

1:43 p.m. – W Main Street caller reported someone had keyed their car.  Camera footage checked and no evidence to show that this happened at this location.

1:48 p.m. – Grove Street report from DPW of a  party wearing a knife on his neck coming up to them and posturing them.  Police spoke with involved male who was advised to stay away from the DPW workers.  DPW workers were also advised to stop conversations with the male and if they felt uncomfortable to call station right away.

3:16 p.m. – Police assistance with unwanted person(s) at Daniel Shays Highway.  Clerk explained that they wanted a male and female removed from the property for causing issues with other guests.  Officers stood by while the individuals packed their belongings. 

6:07 p.m. – E Main Street traffic stop for texting and driving.

Friday, April 14

11:16 a.m. – E Main Street animal complaint of a dog in a vehicle, window only cracked a little.  Police stood by while the Animal Control Officer (ACO) while the registered owner of the vehicle was educated on the circumstances. 

7:18 p.m. – 911 call from E Main Street of someone attempting to throw a punch and chasing the reporting party.  Police responded and spoke with all parties involved.  It was found to only be a verbal altercation after a misunderstanding.  The situation was mediated.

Saturday, April 15

6:08 p.m. – Vandalism reported at E Main Street.   Appeared, at that time, that a vehicle had grazed the pole and took out a mailbox. Unable to determine make/model with parts left behind.  Negative contact with owners of mailbox.

Monday, April 17

7:27 p.m. – New Athol Road traffic stop.  Operator was pulling over because it was overheating.  Cited for failure to inspect.

Tuesday, April 18

12:24 p.m. – Magoon Road motor vehicle accident.  On police arrival, vehicle found to have gone off the road, then flipped and hit a telephone pole.  The operator of the vehicle was later found and a citation to be issued for leaving the scene. 

10:50 p.m. – Report of a tractor trailer unit that appeared to be stuck in an alley way of Jones and Battle Street.  Truck driver was unstuck prior to officers arrival and was escorted to on New Athol Road.  No damage to private property observed at that time.

11:29 p.m. – E Main Street traffic stop for marked lanes violation and no inspection.

Wednesday, April 19

7:56 a.m. – Report that a vehicle had jumped out of gear and reversed into a house on N Main Street.  Minor damage to the house and no injuries.  See crash report.

12:04 p.m. – E Main Street caller reported that sometime within the past month the cage on the window of her mother’s house was ripped down.  No damage to window and window was locked.  Reporting party stated there were also cameras inside that did not capture any entry.

1:19 p.m. – S Main Street motor vehicle violation stop.  Found plates illegally attached and operator unlicensed.  See cites as well as arrest report.

5:57 p.m. – Police assistance requested at Eagleville Road.  Police spoke with all parties involved.  It appeared to be a verbal altercation between the two male parties involved over a speeding vehicle.  The situation was mediated and all parties were advised to stay away from one another.  After conducting a short investigation it was determined there wasn't a knife involved in this incident.

9:55 p.m. – Police response to a disturbance at Pleasant Street.  Upon arrival a group of individuals were out front arguing.  One of the female parties had an abrasion on her face, but denied the need for any services.  When asked what happened, she said she fell and would not give any further details.  She was advised to call back if she changed her mind. All parties were sent on there way.
