Sunday, March 5

11:55 a.m. – Officer assistance requested at E Main Street to address harassment issue with neighbor.  Neighbor was banging on reporting party’s door and has since left.  Reporting party was advised to seek a Harassment Prevention Order.  Subject of the complaint would not open their door to officers.

4:09 p.m. – Addressed Carbon Monoxide Hazard at Winter Street.  All occupants out; elevated levels found.  Boiler issue.  Boiler was shut down and technician will be contacted.

Wednesday, March 8

12:40 a.m. – Assistance requested at Daniel Shays Highway area.  Reporting party was texted by their daughter asking their mother to call the OPD for a woman that had been sleeping inside the store on the tables on the side.  Subject was waiting until morning to hitch hike to but was unwanted by the clerk; was provided a charity room at for the remainder of the night.

3:28 p.m. – E River Street caller reported someone had called stating they were going to bring them a new social security card. Police advised them that it sounded like a scam and to let answering machine pick up if they call back.  Reporting party did not provide to caller with any information.

6:12 p.m. – Oxbow Road caller explained an ongoing issue with a female party harassing her for walking her horses on the roadway.  The process for applying for a criminal harassment order was fully explained.

9:32 p.m. – Noise complaint from Prospect Street.  Police responded and advised tenant of the complaint; they denied making any noise.

11:40 p.m. – On arrival to Stone Valley Road welfare check request, it was found that subject had fallen asleep while listening to music in his vehicle: sent inside for the night.

Thursday, March 9

6:03 a.m. – Possible larceny reported by E Main Street caller who stated items missing were stolen while they were home asleep.  Reporting party suspects the neighbor as they have a past, but has no proof it was them.  Police attempted to make contact with that neighbor, but no answer.

1:49 p.m. – E River Street caller reported the house behind leisure woods were riding their 4 wheelers and ripping up the grass.  Both males were advised of the complaint and to stay off the property.

6:13 p.m. – Arrest at E. Main Street for warrant violation.

Saturday, March 11

10:03 a.m. – E River Street caller requested assistance to have an unwanted party removed from his apartment.  Reporting party advised police he was letting subject stay there, but he had been yelling and screaming that day and the reporting party was concerned it could get physical.  Reporting party also mentioned there was a firearm in his bed room.  Reporting party mentioned his girlfriend was also in the apartment.  Male party left residence.  He advised police he wanted to come back at some point to gather rest of belongings.  He was advised to leave for now since emotions were high.

6:09 p.m. – Police investigated a call from W River Street of a white pickup truck was burning rubber down the street and wound up on neighbor’s front  yard. There was no accident only damage to the tires.  The asphalt was still smoking upon arrival.  An immediate threat will be filed.  The registered owner was no longer on scene; officers spoke with his brother who resides at the residence.

Sunday, March 12

12:38 p.m. – E River Street caller requested police assistance with a firearm left behind after an individual had been removed from his apartment the previous day.  Reporting party would like to have an officer retrieve the firearm.

9:03 p.m. – Possible structure fire reported from E River Street.  All units responded and found to be pellet stove issue.

Monday, March 13

12:08 p.m. – Brookside Road caller requested police assistance with gathering belongings after being asked to leave.  On arrival, it was found that the two parties were having a verbal disagreement.  While in the process of gathering her belongings, the two reconciled there differences and no longer needed an officer present.

5:01 p.m. – E River Street caller requested police assistance with an unwanted person(s) attempting to enter the building and yelling at him and accusing reporting party of dog abuse.  Police responded and reporting party informed them his cousin was causing a scene.  Ongoing issue between family members.  Reporting party was advised of Restraining Order option through the court.  Reporting party was advised to contact OPD if subject shows up again.

9:20 p.m. – Stone Valley Road caller reported a suspicious person and that he believed the downstairs tenant had come onto his porch and taken something.  Reporting party stated he did not know at that time what was taken, but would follow up in the morning.

Wednesday, March 15

4:10 p.m. – Bartlett Lane caller requested police assistance.  Reporting party believed their landlord had shut off the power.  On arrival police found there is on going landlord/tenant issues.  Officers spoke with the landlord next door who was unaware their power was out and was able to fix the issue. 

Saturday, March 18

8:30 a.m. – Vandalism reported from RW Moore Avenue.  Officer was approached by one of the foremen working on one of the new buildings who advised that someone had spray painted something on the ground in front of their gate.  The surrounding area was checked and no other 'tags' were located.

Sunday, March 19

11:24 p.m. – Route 2 and 202 traffic stop for no front plate.  Vehicle was found to be unregistered and towed.

Monday, March 20

1:36 a.m. – Verbal warning traffic stop at Daniel Shays Highway for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.

1:41 a.m. – Suspicious vehicle reported from Daniel Shays Highway business employee who requested check of a person who had been sitting in front of the store for hours.  Requested he be moved along.  Same done.

5:29 p.m. – Hayden Street caller reported receiving a threatening letter in the mail.  Police responded and read the letter.  They were advised the incident would be documented.

Tuesday, March 21

6:20 a.m. – W Myrtle Street caller reported further verbal altercation with the neighbor the previous night.  Reporting party inquired about possibly hiring a detail officer while a fence is installed as he wants to avoid conflict.  Information provided.

11:12 a.m. – Bartlett Lane caller reported that they believed the landlord had shut her water and heat off.  Police advised reporting party that it is a civil issue and the police cannot turn water back on.  She was given proper contacts.  Landlord was notified of complaint and she said son would be going back over to turn everything back on since a breaker had blown.

3:15 p.m. – Call about harassment from W Myrtle Street.  Caller reported neighbor was yelling at their child and has since gone inside.  Police spoke with all involved parties.  Ongoing issue and Harassment Prevention Order options were discussed.
