Wednesday, March 22

4:56 p.m. – Caller from Stone Road area reported some juveniles wearing no helmets were riding up the road on ATV’s.  Officer located them and spoke with them.

5:37 p.m. – N Main Street caller reported seeing a knife sticking out of the ground.  Item retrieved by police.

Thursday, March 23

2:29 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in to report receiving threatening messages which included photos that made the reporting party concerned for their safety.  Party was advised it was a scam and to not answer.

3:32 p.m. – Report of a trash truck on Route 202 appeared to be on fire.  Police assisted OFD with traffic.

11:59 p.m. – W River and Hamilton Street traffic stop for defective headlight.

Friday, March 24

6:50 a.m. – Police assistance was requested at E Main Street to address a female that was dropped off there, but does not seem to know where she is and was harassing their customers for a ride.   Police identified the subject who advised police that she was waiting there.  She was sent on her way.

4:03 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in reported a scam that had come over their computer.  Reporting party advised police they had not given  personal information.  After withdrawing while on the phone they had been told to purchase gift cards.  Reporting party was sent back to the bank to deposit the money and speak with bank officials.

5:17 p.m. – E River Street investigation of a complaint of fireworks and other issues.  Fireworks confiscated.

5:48 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway area caller reported they had a “stay away” order against the subject and yet they came up to them and yelled at them.  Reporting party recorded the incident.  All involved parties were spoken to.

Saturday, March 25

12:48 a.m. – E Main Street traffic stop for stop sign and speed.

12:49 a.m. – Alarm from Governor Dukakis Drive.  Building secure from outside.  At 1:24 a.m. police requested key holder response, and remained on scene until key holder arrived.

Tuesday, March 28

11:44 a.m. – E River Street area caller reported a loose dog on the highway.  ACO (Animal Control Officer) advised.  Dog was brought to station and owner came to pick up the dog.  ACO spoke with owner.

3:38 p.m. – Report from Eagleville Road area of a four wheeler going up and down the road.  Police responded and located the individuals involved.  They were not operating the ATV or dirt bike on the public way upon arrival.  They were advised of the laws pertaining to operating on a public way.  Both were sent on their way. 

4:02 p.m. – Holtshire Road report of vandalism.  Caller stated someone had hit their mailbox.  Police found the mailbox pole to be damaged and the mailbox itself was still intact.

Wednesday, March 29

12:01 p.m. – Police responded to Brookside Road to keep the peace.  Male party got belongings.

2:30 p.m. – S Main Street officer was advised of a threatening comment made by a juvenile.  Incident under investigation

4:35 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway caller reported ongoing landlord issue.  Reporting party stated the landlord had stopped a couple of people as they were leaving the property trying to make them identify themselves.  Officer spoke with both parties.  Did photograph the vehicle's license plate and requested the operator’s address.  Stated she is being charged $300 a day per camper on her property by the BOH (Board of Health) which was the reason for asking for the address.  She was advised to contact police if she was having issues with people on her property from here on out. 

Thursday, March 30

1:32 a.m. – Police located a vehicle at E River Street closed business and found someone sleeping in the passenger seat.  Police provided courtesy transport to their residence.

5:45 a.m. – Daniel Shays Highway traffic stop for stop sign violation and failure to inspect.

5:55 a.m. – Daniel Shays Highway traffic stop for stop sign violation.

6:07 a.m. – Patrol officer in the E River Street area advised the parking lot in front of there was a vehicle fire.  Closest exposure are two vehicles multiple parking spots away.  Command advised fires were knocked down, will be overhauling, extended scene time.  Fire started in the engine bay.  Did not appear suspicious at that time.

8:38 a.m. – E River Street larceny reported.  Reporting party advised a package had been delivered but nothing was inside of the package.  Same was confirmed delivered with photo evidence.  Appears package was ripped opened before it got delivered.

11:39 a.m. – Wendell Depot Road caller reported a brush fire in the area of the Orange town line.  Unknown cause.  OFD was advised may be the cause of the power outage.  They will also be en route to assist.

9:26 p.m. – Suspicious vehicle report from Mechanic Street.  Caller reported a white box truck appeared to be stuck in the dirt section.  Upon arrival found the operator’s son had given wrong directions.  Pulled out the vehicle.

Friday, March 31

11:21 a.m. – A patrol officer was flagged down and advised that dogs had gotten lose from an East Main Street address ran across the road and attacked another dog.  All dogs were separated and appeared to be okay.  ACO was notified of the incident and would be following up with the involved parties.

2:14 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway traffic stop for expired registration.  Plates were seized and vehicle towed. 

Saturday, April 1

12:10 p.m. – Vandalism reported from Putnam Street.

2:44 p.m. – Officers requested to keep the peace, Shingle Brook Road area.  Lanlord/tenant issue.  Parties advised to take issue through court.

Sunday, April 2

1:10 a.m. – E Main Street traffic stop of individual on moped for defective rear light.

11:15 a.m. – Burglar/hold up alarm Dexter Street.  On arrival the back door was found to be left open with a rock.  The building was checked and found to be in order.  The back door was secured.

12:00 p.m. – Pitbull found walking down the road on Hayden Street.  Brought back to station where ACO came and got the male dog.

12:03 p.m. – Police assistance requested at E Main Street where they spoke with the reporting party regarding the possible vandalism.  Same stated there are kids that play in front of their house and believed it to be them.  Reporting party said there were chalk marks, and the St. Mary's sculpture was damaged.  Reporting party was advised to set up cameras and police would be speaking with the parents about keeping their children off their neighbor's property.

12:30 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in to speak with an officer about their options regarding someone hacking into their Facebook account and pretending to be the reporting party to friends.  Reporting party was advised to deactivate or delete their account.  Advised if the harassment continued they could go to court to seek a 209A order.

6:59 p.m. – E Main Street report of a Bull Mastiff dog with a leg injury, no collar/no tags, was in the parking lot.  Police responded and stayed with the dog until Animal Control arrived.  Found the location where dog lived and it had a bad infection on its back left leg.  The owner was spoken too and advised that the dog needed treatment and they would be following up.

7:23 p.m. – Caller from Perry Road reported there was a lot of foot traffic in their back yard, and there were needles all over the place, as well as cars flying up an down the road.  Police advised the reporting party to call when they see people in the back yard so officers can address the issue.

9:34 p.m. – Station walk-in reported when they had arrived at their Perry Road home there were three individuals walking around in their backyard.  Police responded back to the residence and checked the area.  The individuals were gone on police arrival.  Also checked around the residence and everything appeared to be in order at that time.

11:36 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway traffic stop for stop sign violation.

Tuesday, April 4

1:59 a.m. – E Main Street traffic stop for motorized bicycle with no rear red light.

7:43 a.m. – Patrol officer in the Lake Mattawa Road area found found that appeared to have struck a tree.  The operator of the vehicle was later located and denied the need for any medical attention.  Report filed.

12:48 p.m. – Caller from Route 2 advised police they are a tow truck driver, and the vehicle they were towing at that time was on fire.  On arrival, officers assisted the FD and MSP with traffic. 

7:13 p.m. – Police responded to a request for assistance with a disturbance at E Main Street.  Police spoke with all parties involved.  It was found to be a verbal altercation between the individuals involved.  They were all advised of the process for filing a harassment order through court.

Wednesday, April 5

4:34 p.m. – Vandalism reported from McCarthy Lane.

Thursday, April 6

4:18 a.m. – E Main Street caller reported someone had banged on their door several times/ongoing issue.  Area checked around the building, nothing found.  Police spoke with at length with the reporting party.  No suspicious persons were found in the area at that time.

8:09 a.m. – Police took a vandalism report at McCarthy Lane.  Reporting party works for a management company that is hired out by the bank which owns the property.  A few weeks prior, when they had come to the property to do some work, the front window and second floor windows were broken.  Report filed.

10:41 a.m. – S Main Street traffic stop for speeding, failure to stop at red light, and failure to inspect.

7:39 p.m. – E River Street caller reported an incident that occurred in Athol that day.  Reporting party stated sister and daughter approached them in attempt to get the reporting party to fight them.  Reporting party was advised it would be on record that they called, but was advised to call APD as it occurred in their town.

Friday, April 7

11:47 a.m. – E River Street male party placed under arrest for an active warrant.

5:07 p.m. – Dexter Street area caller reported damage done to their vehicle.  Reporting party described some new damage on the passenger side of their vehicle that appeared to have been caused by extreme temperatures.  Police to review camera footage.
