Forum onlarge batterystorage andsolar fields

ATHOL — A forum on large stand-alone battery storage systems and solar fields will be held on Wednesday, March 27, from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Millers River Environmental Center in Athol (100 Main St.). A panel presentation will take place followed by a discussion. Panelists will include Ivan Ussach of the Millers River Watershed Council, Anna Gyorgy of No Assault and Batteries, and Paul Fenn of Local Power.

This forum is to inform people on current issues pertaining to the siting of large energy infrastructure in the region. A discussion will follow panel presentations. This forum is sponsored by North Quabbin Energy and Millers River Watershed Council to help educate residents of the region. Light refreshments will be served.

Annual TownElection in Athol

ATHOL — The Annual Town Election is being held on Monday, April 1. Polls open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m. in Memorial Hall, Town Hall, 584 Main St. All vote by mail ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on April 1.
