Petersham annual election nomination papers now available 

PETERSHAM — Nomination papers for the annual Town Election, to be held on March 6, 2023, are now available. They may be obtained at the Town Clerk’s Office until Monday, Jan. 13, 2023 at 5 p.m. or the Selectmen’s Office. They must be returned by Friday, Jan. 13, 2023 at 5 p.m. The last day to register to vote is Feb. 24, 2023. The Town Clerk’s Office is open on Mondays from 5:30–7 p.m. The Town Clerk’s Office is open to the public. For questions or to make an appointment to sign the blanket or take out nomination papers, please contact the Town Clerk at 978-724-6649 and leave a message on the machine or email at petershamtownclerk@verizon.net.

The following offices will appear on the ballot:

Moderator – Three years currently held by Bart Wendell

Selectmen – Three years, currently held by Rebecca Legare

Treasurer – Three years, currently held by Dana Robinson

Board of Assessors – Three years, currently held by Ellen Anderson

Board of Health – Three years, currently being filled by Stephen Loring

Petersham School Committee – Three years, currently held by Tina Leslie

Petersham School Committee – One year currently held by Kelley Targett (appointed)

Planning Board – Two three-year seats currently held by John Lawson and Fraser Sinclair

Trustees of Public Library – Three years, currently held by Kent Byron.

Tina Leslie will not run for the School Committee and Kelley Targett is resigning from her position on the School Committee and will not run.

Last day to register to vote

WINCHENDON — The last day to register to vote in the upcoming Special Town Election to be held on Jan. 19 will be Jan 9 by 5 p.m.

Reminder for Town Election nomination papers

ORANGE — Nomination papers for the Town of Orange Annual Town Election may be obtained from the Town Clerk’s office until Jan. 12. The election will be held on Monday, March 6.

The following offices will appear on the Annual Town Election ballot:

■Two members of the Selectman for three years

■Moderator for one year

■Town Clerk for three years

■Constable for two years

■Board of Health for three years

■Two members of the Elementary School Committee for three years

■One member of the Elementary School Committee for two years

■Two members of the Regional School Committee for three years

■Two Library Trustees for three years

■Water Commissioner for three years

■Water Commissioner for two years

■Cemetery Commissioner for three years

■Trustee of Soldiers’ Memorials–Veteran–three years

■Trustee of Soldiers’ Memorials–Non-veteran–one year

■Housing Authority for five years

At this time, the following people have indicated they will not be running again for their positions: Christopher Woodcock, Moderator; Sunday Lefebvre, Regional School Committee; and Donald Priestley, Water Commissioner.

Nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk by Jan. 17. The last day to register to vote for the election is Feb. 23.
