The duo of Jake Willis and Nate Burdick teamed for a two-round total of 127, besting the field for low gross honors as the Country Club of Greenfield held its Memorial Day Tournament over the weekend.

Willis and Burdick shot rounds of 63 and 64, taking top honors by seven shots over runners-up Dave Kennedy and Jason Kelton (69-65—134).

Jamie Crocker and Pat McGuire were one shot back in third place (70-65—135), followed by the teams of Chris Varilly/Clint McCloud (73-67—140) and Ike Purington/Tom Herzig (74-68—142).

Ryan and Scott Cote had the low net score of the weekend (125), followed by the teams of Anthony Wonsecki/Mike Covey (129) and Nate Blanchard/Terry Blanchard (129). Brian Luippold and Mark Kennedy tied for the next spot with Gary Hunt and Michael Duclos Jr., as both teams posted net totals of 132.

The women’s gross score winners were Diane Carme and Raye Young, which posted rounds of 73 and 72 for a total of 145.

Terry Boyce and Ann McHugh were next with rounds of 77 and 73 (150 total).

Two teams tied for low net honors, as Ellen Bitzer/Jane Plumley and Wendy Blanchard/Ryan Blanchard posted nets of 132.

18 Hole Women’s Scramble

The quartet of Terry Boyce, Karen Williams, Sally Bernard and Maureen Barclay amassed a score of 68 to give them first place overall as CCG held an 18-hole women’s scramble.

Diane Carme, Gail Miller, Irene McDonald and Alane Smith were second with a total of 72.
