Tuesday, Aug. 15

4:39 p.m. – Fairview Avenue caller requested assistance with an unwanted intoxicated female at her house that she wanted removed.  No issue at the house and nobody was intoxicated.  The reporting party was advised of their court option. 

8:07 p.m. – Sanders Street caller reported they could hear a party screaming across the street from them, but they didn’t  know what was wrong.  Police located male party lying on the floor after hearing him yell for help from the upstairs apartment. Party was transported to AMH.

Wednesday, Aug. 16

10:00 a.m. – Station walk-in turned in a handbag they had found in the Main Street area.  The party was contacted.

3:06 p.m. – Report of a disturbance at Ridge Avenue.  Caller reported a physical altercation between what appeared to be a father and son.  Stated the younger boy had his shirt off and was bleeding.  Physical altercation between unrelated parties; refused to speak with officers.  Informed involved party of their options through ODC for simple assault and battery.

4:58 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway area caller reported a minor physical altercation between two residents. No injuries, and the reporting party did not need anything from the police, they were just reporting it to comply with their policy.

7:11 p.m. – South Athol Road caller reported a red car had driven by at high speed, hit a telephone and left.  Caller reported damage to pole and vehicle had damage to the passenger side.  National Grid notified for a safety inspection.  Owner had permission to leave the vehicle at Zeda's

11:48 p.m. – Caller from Everett Avenue area requested police to pass on information to the ACO (Animal Control Officer) that a family member has a pattern of abuse towards animals and beats their dogs.

Thursday, Aug. 17

4:36 p.m. – Marble Street caller reported what appeared to be controlled substance activity in a blue Chevy SUV parked on the street.  Police saw parties in the area walking.  Nothing observed was suspicious.

6:35 p.m. – Station lobby walk-in reported threatening messages were being sent by her son’s girlfriend’s parents.  Advised of court options.

7:37 p.m. – Caller reported suspicious activity in the Summer Street area of someone moving a 36-foot camper in to the driveway of the vacant house with the squatters.  Necessary action taken.

9:16 p.m. – Caller reported a verbal disturbance between residents across the street in the Western Avenue area.  Verbal argument only. Male was leaving the residence.

9:52 p.m. – Marble Street caller requested police assistance after observing people that had been in their building going to a neighbor's apartment and believed they may be attempting to break in.  Police checked the area, but no one was seen in the area matching the description.

10:09 p.m. – Brookside Avenue caller reported a party asleep at the wheel in the travel lane.  Party pulled into Cumberland Farms lot and was parked in the parking lot upon police arrival, standing outside the vehicle. Party called for a ride.

Friday, Aug. 18

1:20 a.m. – Police took necessary action to address a call from Main Street that reported two individuals had just come out of the abandoned building from the municipal lot door and the boards were completely off of the door.

6:58 a.m. – Prospect Street ADT alarm activation – side door motion.  Upon arrival door found unsecured.

Sunday, Aug. 20

4:23 p.m. – Report of motor vehicle vandalism from Main Street area.  Vehicle had three flat tires and four missing lug nuts.

10:28 p.m. – S Main Street caller reported what appeared to be a female party slumped over on the sidewalk.  Negative contact, AFD notified.

Wednesday, Aug. 23

6:57 p.m. – Station walk-in reported a scam involving their painting business.  No loss occurred.  Advised of options. 

7:26 p.m. – Police assisted CSO with requested welfare check in the Lenox Street area.  Party was located and transported to AMH.

8:22 p.m. – Exchange Street area party advised to seek guidance at civil court regarding kayak that has not been returned from ex-friend. 

Sunday, Aug. 27

5:58 p.m. – South Athol Road area caller reported observing a male and female walking all over the road.  Stated the female kept walking towards oncoming traffic.  Parties were located and brought back to their residence as they were apparently intoxicated.

6:03 p.m. – Wallingford Avenue area caller reported observing a male party at the playground sleeping on the table and the kids were trying to wake him.  While on the phone the male party did wake up, but was confused.

Monday, Aug. 28

4:22 a.m. – Freedom Street caller reported a red truck was parked in the middle of the road.  Officer assisted vehicle operator move the disabled truck off to the side of the road.

8:48 a.m. – Tower Road caller reported an uncapped syringe was in the mulch in the parking lot directly in front of The Shoe Dept.  Disposed of by police.

9:38 a.m. – Employee of a Main Street area business requested police assistance with another local business owner who was acting strangely, trying to solicit business and wouldn't leave, but has since left.  Advised to call APD if individual came back, and of no trespass option.

10:06 p.m. – Police investigating a suspicious person in the Exchange Street area found an intoxicated person, who was eventually picked up  by their sober cousin.
