Monday, April 17

4:12 p.m. – Station walk-in from Mountainview Road reported possible identity fraud after they had received an email that someone had tried to open an account with their SSN. Police spoke with the reporting party and provided fraud packet information, and how to monitor credit/SSN as well as all other accounts. Advised to contact APD if there are more attempts to open an account or if money is taken.

4:25 p.m. – Oakland Avenue caller reported an unemployment claim was made in their name, and it was not by their doing. Reporting party had already filed with the mass.gov unemployment fraud website. Police advised them of credit monitoring and other actions to be taken, and to contact PD if there are further issues.

Tuesday, April 18

8:38 a.m. – Officer investigating a suspicious person in the Harugari Street area resulted in the arrest of David G. Zenone, 61, homeless, Athol for misdemeanor B & E.

12:19 p.m. – Police responded to a disturbance at Chestnut Street. Both parties were spoken to and it appeared that nothing physical had taken place. They were both advised of their court options and separated for the night.

3:51 p.m. – Party from Main Street reported an unemployment claim was opened in their name. Advised party to complete online unemployment fraud form and monitor credit.

5:38 p.m. – Party from Pitman Road into station reported unemployment fraud. Advised party to complete online unemployment fraud form and monitor credit.

Wednesday, April 19

11:42 a.m. – Doe Valley Road resident in station to report unemployment fraud of false claim filed under their name.

3:53 p.m. – Manager from Tower Road reported a larceny of approximately $300.00 worth of goods. Items were recovered by staff prior to arrival. Report filed.

4:09 p.m. – Caller from South Athol Road area reported it appeared that some parties were camping across the street. Party was advised to pack their belongings and sent on their way.

4:22 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway caller reported, as part of their protocol, one resident who had assaulted another. Two Alzheimer’s patients had an altercation. One patient had been very confused and was sent to a clinic, and the victim had no injuries.

4:36 p.m. – Report of illegal alcohol sales, Pinedale Avenue.

4:58 p.m. – Lobby walk-in from Secret Lake Road reported that their Social Security number was used to file for unemployment and their workplace had notified them of incident. Police provided them with the fraud packet and advised to call if further assistance needed.

8:48 p.m. – Caller from Old Keene Road Caller reported a rental vehicle had been stolen from him. Vehicle was taken on Tuesday and not returned. BOLO for use without authority of a rental vehicle.

Friday, April 21

12:09 p.m. – Caller from Marble Street area reported road rage incident. Police mediated the situation and spoke with the reporting party and the other motorist.

1:52 p.m. – Main Street caller reported a male party had yelled at her in the store. Advised of no trespass order and to call if he came back.

1:48 p.m. – West Royalston Road party into station reported an unemployment claim that he did not file.

Saturday, April 22

1:48 a.m. – Patrol officer provided courtesy transport for intoxicated person reported on Exchange Street.

10:00 a.m. – Party from Carpenter Road into the station to report a boat that was left on a piece of land he owns.

1:59 p.m. – Silver Lake Road couple into the station to report suspicious persons/activity they caught on cameras at their house.

Sunday, April 23

5:11 p.m. – Multiple 911 calls for a motor vehicle accident at Main and Chestnut Hill Avenue into a pole, injuries and lots of wires down.

6:41 p.m. – 911 call from Templeton Road employee reporting that the fuse box was smoking, and they were evacuating the building. Extinguished.

10:32 p.m. – Caller from South Main Street and Brookside Road area reported a male party that appeared to be intoxicated was laying on the sidewalk. Given courtesy transport.

Monday, April 24

8:35 a.m. – Brickyard Road caller reported a false unemployment claim had been filed with their spouse’s social security number.

8:38 a.m. – Craigin Street caller reported a false unemployment claim had been filed with their social security number.

10:59 a.m. – Winthrop Street caller reported that their employer had stated that someone had filed an unemployment claim under their name and information.

4:17 p.m. – Maple Street caller requested police assistance with intoxicated roommate they don’t want there. Requested an ambulance for the male party who had a knee injury.

6:32 p.m. – AMH requested an officer to speak with a female regarding domestic violence. Elder abuse report filed.

9:00 p.m. – Main Street report of possible elder abuse.

10:03 p.m. – Cottage Street caller reported smelling gas fumes. Motorcycle leaking gas on the side of the street was towed.

Tuesday, April 25

7:32 a.m. – Station walk-in party from Cottage Street area to report fraud/scam.

5:07 p.m. – Station walk-in from Ward Street reported unemployment fraud. Reporting party had already completed online form and was advised to monitor their credit report.

5:51 p.m. – Brattle Street caller reported damage to their window from a BB pellet. Report taken.

6:03 p.m. – Officer in Main Street area spoke to parties going door-to-door advertising for their business and advised them of proper protocol.

Wednesday, April 26

10:00 a.m. – Silver Lake Street caller reported small bags of what appeared to be an illegal substance were found on her property.  Bags were collected from the side of the road. 

1:08 p.m. – Sanders Street party into station to report fraud.  Someone had taken out a car loan in his name. 

1:17 p.m. – Two empty heroin packets on Silver Lake Street were collected and disposed of.

1:54 p.m. – Police assistance requested to Pleasant Street school.  Student had fled the building and wasn’t able to be located.  Staff checked the buses and student was located on the Vanpool.  Admin will handle. 

Thursday, April 27

11:46 a.m. – Exchange Street caller reported puppy scam on marketplace.  ACO was advised of issue and would follow up.

12:14 p.m. – Auburn Place caller reported neighbor threw trash all over his yard.  Neighbors having an issue about a bag of trash being thrown in a dumpster.  Trash was removed by the DPW.

Friday, April 28

4:37 p.m. – Pequoig Avenue caller reported two males and a female fighting.  Argument over parking; parties advised to separate.

Saturday, April 29

9:27 p.m. – Disturbance reported from Union Street.  Caller reported a male party, apparently intoxicated, was punching and breaking things, covered in blood.  Necessary action taken.

Sunday, April 30

12:24 a.m. – Maple Street caller reported an apparently intoxicated male party was laying in the road in front of his residence.  Medical assistance declined, left with a sober party.

Sunday, April 30

11:51 a.m. – School Street caller reported that an ex-boyfriend had been harassing her and her clients at work.  Police called him and left message.  Advised to stay away.

4:32 p.m. – Police assistance requested with a disturbance reported from Main Street caller.  Reported ex would not leave the apartment. When the reporting party called 911, subject left in an unknown direction and unknown location.  Nothing physical, just verbal. Police advised reporting party to call if he returns.

6:00 p.m. – Ridge Avenue 911 caller stating  overdose, party was in and out of consciousness.  Two Narcan administered prior to PD arrival.  Party was conscious and alert on FD arrival.  Party transported to AMH.

10:22 p.m. – Ridge Avenue caller reported she wanted someone removed from the apartment.  Female party left the residence.  Male party is legal tenant.  Reporting party advised of court options.  Male party reported stolen property.  See report.

Monday, May 1

9:23 a.m. – AMH called regarding speaking to a male who was assaulted the previous night by his wife.  He was fearful to go home and would like to speak with an officer about his options.  Police spoke with the reporting party and the court.  Advised of options.

1:49 p.m. – South Street caller reported someone had hacked their Facebook account.  Party was told to not pay the ransom to release the Facebook account and was given her options.

4:03 p.m. – School Street caller about receipt of a medical paper from UMASS about their information being "breeched."  Reporting party spoke to her insurance company and it is a fraud, and wanted APD to be aware.

7:03 p.m. – Exchange Street caller reported that her daughter’s photo was put online by a business the previous day for shoplifting and now kids at school were bullying her.  Information relayed to SRO.  Reporting party was advised of court options.
