4:52 a.m. — Medical emergency, East River Street.

6:35 a.m. — 911 call, Center Drive; caller requests officer speak to her husband. Party advises she does not want officer to come to her residence. Party spoken with and provided options.9:19 a.m. — Motor vehicle lockout, keys in vehicle, Whitney Street. Entry gained.

11:33 a.m. — Control advises that doctor requests officer make contact with East River Street party in regard to his test results. Done.

12:10 p.m. — Shots fired. OnStar advises subscriber is reporting gunshots in area of Oak Drive location. States it was a male party with a dark beard and was by a green pickup. Then the reporting party drove by, the male appeared to get in the truck in an attempt to hide. Party provided partial plate. Officer checked area, unable to locate. He advises he can hear some in the distance, believed to be in the Royalston area.

1:08 p.m. — Traffic stop, Route 2 Exit 16 on ramp, for expired registration. Owner renewed roadside. Verbal warning issued.

1:34 p.m. — Traffic stop,Daniel Shays Highway, for speeding. Citation issued.

1:59 p.m. — East River Street caller reports he believes the vehicle he reported missing yesterday, white Nissan. Is at certain location. Vehicle was located at residence and reporting party was advised. He stated he is waiting for transportation at the moment to retrieve the vehicle.

5:59 p.m. — Officer transported one to Holtshire Road. Subject broke down in Athol and not able to find a ride back home.

6:09 p.m. — 911 call, East River Street. Could hear faint talking or a TV in background. No response to silent call procedures. Officer responded and confirmed misdial.

6:45 p.m. — East Main Street party requesting an officer to her apartment for a disturbance. She went upstairs to ask them to move their vehicle and the upstair neighbor’s boyfriend threatened to slice her throat. She does not know his name. She is standing outside at her vehicle.Officers gave parties their options and advised to stay away from each other.

7:06 p.m. — Jasmine Road party reports he received a call from his neighbor advising a male party was in the area and she had issues with in the past stealing things and breaking in to their residence. Officer spoke with subject. Area checked.

8:59 p.m. — Party complaining about neighbors being loud at Stone Valley Road; loud music, vehicles (loud exhaust, driving up and down the street). Area checked; all quiet.

Monday, Dec. 3

12:23 a.m. — Motor vehicle violation investigated, East Main Street.

12:35 a.m. — Operator was issued a verbal warning for marked lanes violation, Daniel Shays Highway.

12:49 a.m. — Vehicle stopped on Daniel Shays Highway as it was known to be used without authority. Operator of vehicle was loaned the car and was unaware she wasn’t supposed to have it. Registered owner contacted and picked up at his home by officer and brought to his vewhicle; stated he did not want any charges pressed against driver, just happy to have his car back.

9:12 a.m. — Officer wanted, Fairman Road. Caller states subject “came up here last night and a judge told him to stay away from me.” States she is traumatized. Confirmed subject is not in apartment at this time. Officer learned incident happened last night. CAller provided Harassment Prevention Order options and will be going to court.

9:58 a.m. — Beach Lane caller reports possible scam via letter. On call back, no answer; message left.

10:23 a.m. — East River Street caller requests officer because she cannot get her 12-year-old daughter to get out of the vehicle. Parent reports child was assaultive toward her and will not calm down. Options provided regarding juvenile court and at the request of the parent, the child was spoken with.

10:53 a.m. — East River Street caller reports a cleaning person took a coffee cup while cleaning up the house (last Tuesday). States the person will be back to his house Friday. An officer will speak with the party on Friday.

11:01 a.m. — Eddy Street caller reports she noticed a couple of days ago money missing from her lock box. Under investigation.

11:36 a.m. — Trespass. Control received call from Walmart stating they have a female party in their store that has been trespassed. On arrival, party was located and advised of the trespass order. She informed the officer and Walmart staff that she was informed by the judge the order was only good for a year and it expired today. However, she was advised they have her on camera in September inside the store and had also under range when she was checking out. The 38-year-old female of Orange was reissued trespass order and was advised that she will be getting summoned to court for charges of trespassing as well as shoplifting by asportation.

12:08 p.m. — Athol Police advise receiving a call that a white Jeep is all over the road, Daniel Shays Highway, same just heading into Orange past Hannaford. In checking area, possible match of the vehicle was found to be parked on West River Street. No one found inside and operator could not be located.

2:05 p.m. — Fairman Road resident reports her mail was stolen. The post office delivered a package on Nov. 26. It was left hanging on the mailbox. The value is $27. It was reported to the postal authorities and victim wants it on record.

2:06 p.m. — Meals on Wheels requested officer check welfare of party at Red Brook who did not answer door. Party just returned home.

4:12 p.m. — Operator on Daniel Shays Highway was given verbal warning for inspection sticker and defective equipment (tail light).

5:27 p.m. — Memorial Drive caller reports dirt bike was stolen from backyard, possibly some time late last night. He will fill out statements.

5:52 p.m. — Officer responded to Walmart for a 29-year-old Orange female party detained for shoplifting by concealing merchandise. A criminal complaint will be filed with Orange District Court.

7:01 p.m. — Rape, East River Street. Shelburne Control advised a nurse from Baystate Medical Center in Springfield is requesting a phone call from an officer because they have a juvenile in the emergency room. Report taken.

8:11 p.m. — Athol Police took a call about an erratic operator on South Main Street heading toward Orange. Vehicle driving in opposite lane several times. Officer made contact with registered owner while she was parked in her driveway. After a brief investigation the operator was free to leave.

Tuesday, Dec. 4

1:01 a.m. — Motorist stopped on East Main Street for failure to inspect. Verbal warning issued.

1:35 a.m. — Verbal warning issued to motorist stopped for speeding, Brookside Road.

7:43 a.m. — Vehicle stopped on Hayden Street for failing to stop for school bus lights. Verbal warning issued.

9:21 a.m. — Rape, East River Street. Officer investigating a past sexual assault. Report taken.

10:16 a.m. — Party to station to speak with officer regarding possible larceny, New Athol Road. She placed an order back in September, however the furniture was never delivered and the owner informed her she would be reimbursed. However that has not happened yet. Under investigation.

11:12 a.m. — Caller reporting neighbor’s dogs barking, Brookside Road. Ongoing problem. Caller encouraged to report the problem to dog officer. No one answered the door.

11:17 a.m. — Mechanic Street caller would like her boyfriend removed; his car is in the driveway, and his license is expired. He showed up drunk last night and refused to leave. She would like to discuss getting a no-contact order. On arrival male party was outside waiting for a ride. He was removed and also served trespass paperwork by the landlord. Reporting party provided her 209A options as well.

1:59 p.m. — Officer monitored traffic at the school at the request of the administration, South Main Street, regarding cars failing to stop for the flashing red lights on school bus vans. One vehicle was stopped; verbal warning given.

2:03 p.m. — Breaking and entering, Center Drive. Caller said she just discovered a man in her house going through her purse. She yelled and he fled, but she knows his name. Officer located and arrested Jan Maienfisch, 30, homeless on charge of breaking and entering into a building in the daytime for a felony. Transported to the House of Correction.

3:13 p.m. — 911 call received; could hear static or wind, no voices. 911-only phone, unable to call back. Searched area of Winter Street, negative contact.

3:48 p.m. — Motor vehicle lockout, East Main Street. Entry gained.

5:33 p.m. — Report of suspicious activity, East Main Street. Caller pulled into a parking spot at Walmart and as she got out noticed a younger Hispanic looking male inside masturbating and watching her. She states that she left and came back to get his plate number and noticed him driving around the parking lot as if he was looking for another place to park. Upon arrival, male was identified. Reporting party was contacted via phone. After a lengthy conversation she decided that she did not want to pursue criminal charges or be named a victim/witness. The male denied the allegation stating that he was engaged in an animated verbal argument over the phone with his girlfriend. Sent on way.

6:15 p.m. — While inside the store investigating the previous call, an employee reported a male yelling and screaming inside the bathroom. Party was escorted out of the store.

6:38 p.m. — Traffic stop, West River Street, for defective equipment. Verbal warning issued.

7:12 p.m. — Report of injured fox on South main Street. Left message for highway department to pick it up in the morning.

7:45 p.m. — Caller reports a big truck with a light on the top with a Mass. handicap plate, going through center of town at approximately 20 mph, didn’t use a directional and almost drove into someone on East Main Street.

8:03 p.m. — Traffic stop, East Main Street, for defective equipment (tail light). Verbal warning.
