Athol, MA – Margaret (Peggy) J. Shepardson (née Loverro) passed away December 19, 2025. She was born in Athol on February 12, 1951, to Dominic and Margaret Loverro. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Robert (Bob) Shepardson (d. February 28, 2020). She is survived by her children Stacy and Ken Perry of Dudley, MA; Eric and Adrienne Shepardson of Baltimore, MD; her grandchildren Miranda and Kayla Shepardson, Evan and Noah LePage; close relatives Judy and Bill Howland, and several other relatives in the region. Peggy was known for co-organizing the Athol Hatchet Hunt for over 35 years with Bob. She obtained her Associate's Degree from Mount Wachusett Community College, spent many years working as a special education professional assistant in the Athol school system, as well as a medical assistant with Quabbin Valley Health Care. She loved Bingo and playing cards with family and friends. The family has opted for private services at this time.
