The Athol Woman’s Club Memory Tree tradition continues. Located on the uptown common of Athol is the 2023 Memory Tree. Each light on the tree represents the memory of a loved one who is no longer with us for the holiday season. This longstanding tradition of collecting names to be represented on the tree by the Athol Woman’s Club is a fundraiser for the many projects and charities the Athol Woman’s Club supports. The suggested donation is $1 for each name. Names can be submitted to Athol Woman’s Club, PO Box 194, Athol, MA 01331, with check written out to Athol Woman’s Club or dropped off at Else Where, 1485 Main St., Athol during business hours of Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The Athol Daily News will continue to publish the names submitted.
