Mahar graduates heading to college

ORANGE — The following 2019 Mahar Regional School graduates are planning to further their education this fall:

Miguel Arce of Orange, son of Nelson and Kristin Arce, will attend Houghton College, where he will study wildlife conservation. At Mahar he ran track throughout his high school experience and played softball in his junior and senior years. He was a member of the Mahar Fish ‘n Game Club since seventh grade and participated in the Gateways program his last year and a half of school.

Skyler James Gowey of Orange, son of Alfred and Rachael Gowey, will attend Mount Wachusett Community College where he will study automotive technology.

Lauren Henne of Orange, daughter of Marcia and James Henne, will attend the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. At Mahar, she was involved in the Key Club, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, and played volleyball (six years), softball (four years) and basketball (five years).

Marie Nottleson of Orange, daughter of Eliot and Elizabeth Nottleson, will attend Eckerd College where she will major in psychology.

Tyler Osterberg of Orange, son of Amy and Marc Osterbert, will attend Mount Wachusett Community College where he will study computer science.
