Please support the Athol Daily News' COVID-19 coverage

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the local economy — and many of the advertisers who support our work — to a near standstill. During this unprecedented challenge, we continue to make our coronavirus coverage free to everyone at atholdailynews.com because we feel our most critical mission is to deliver vital information to our communities. If you believe local news is essential, especially during this crisis, please donate.

Thank you for your support of the Athol Daily News.

In appreciation

  • Athol Selectboard Chair Rebecca Bialecki shared an elbow bump with board member Holly Young after presenting Young with a bouquet of flowers in recognition of her service on the board. The presentation was made at what would have been Young's last regular meeting of the board, after completion of her three-year term. She has decided not to seek re-election. However, Young will serve a bit longer than expected because the annual town election has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. ATHOL DAILY NEWS/GREG V
