The U. S. Mint will debut its 2020 National Park quarters circulation-quality coin set March 24. This will consist of Denver and Philadelphia mint versions of the five quarters to be issued this year.

These will be sold in a special folder, at a hefty premium over the face value of the coins. To order items from the U.S. Mint, call them at 1-800-USA-MINT, or visit their website at www.usmint.gov.

The coin show scheduled on March 22 at Devens has been canceled due to the the COVID-19 restrictions on public gatherings. This may the closure of other shows and events in the coming weeks.

Last week, the British Royal Post issued a set of 10 stamps to honor the 60th anniversary of the James Bond film franchise. The author of the books upon which the Bond character was based was a Briton named Ian Fleming.

Six of the stamps will depict the various actors who have played the Bond role, from Sean Connery to Daniel Craig. Four stamps in a souvenir sheet will feature the various tricked-up cars used by the Bond character over the years.

The recent stock market crash has also seen strong drops in the prices of precious metals, in silver more than in gold. This is contrary to the usual trend, but can be explained at least partially by the concurrent fall in oil prices.

Major commodities like oil and gold often move together up or down in price. The flight of much investment capital into government bonds is another factor in the weaker metals prices.
