Saturday, Feb. 22

12:25 a.m. — Officer out with parked vehicle, Main Street. The vehicle was all secure, no issues.

12:32 a.m. — Officer out with parked vehicle, Main Street. Party was dropping a friend off so he parked to make it easier for subject to get to the building. Moved along.

12:38 a.m. — Officer out with male party, Main Street. Officer observed a male subject walking around, in and out of the alleyways. Officer made contact with subject who reported he was on his way home. Nothing found out of place.

12:53 a.m. — Officer stood by to assist MSP with a traffic stop, Crescent Street.

1:08 a.m. — Female party called asking about her rights as her boyfriend locked her out of where she has been staying, Main Street. Boyfriend called stating they are broken up and she is now unwanted there.

1:19 a.m. — Employee states two vehicles with three older male parties have been loitering for the last few hours and the business is now closed for the night, Market Drive. Subjects gone on arrival.

4:56 a.m. — Ambulance requested for a 62-year-old female with back pain from a fall a few days prior, Pine Street. Officer stood by while AFD picked up the patient.

4:59 a.m. — Officer out with an occupied vehicle, South Main Street. Officer made contact with party who reported he was using the internet and having his coffee. All appeared in order.

7:10 a.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Petersham Road. Criminal citation issued for unlicensed operation.

8:23 a.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Main and Canal streets. Citation issued for failing to inspect motor vehicle.

9:09 a.m. — 911 caller reporting an erratic operator that just got off Route 2 and was heading into Athol, Main Street and Templeton Road. Officer unable to locate the vehicle.

9:35 a.m. — Caller reporting that her daughter was texting with a party and he was making suicidal statements, Pine Street. Officers made contact with the male party. Officers advising that due to the party having some issues, they will need an ambulance. Officer completed section 12 paperwork at the ER.

10:17 a.m. — 911 caller requesting an ambulance for her 38-year-old son that is having chest pain and difficulty breathing, Lake Street.

10:34 a.m. — Officer gave subject a ride home from the ER, Pine Street.

10:49 a.m. — 911 caller requesting an ambulance for a 74-year-old male party that fell out of bed and is complaining of back pain, Daniel Shays Highway.

11:02 a.m. — 911 caller states her driveway is icy and she is afraid the mailman is going to fall, Ella Street. Advised party that she would need to contact a plow person. Party wanted PD to send a sander.

11:16 a.m. — Staff from the ER requesting police assistance with a male party that was brought in and is now out of control and assaulting the security personnel, Main Street. Subject attempted to leave the ER. Staff able to get him back into bed before officer’s arrival. Officer stood by for a little bit until things calmed down.

11:37 a.m. — Medical emergency, South Street. Female was uncooperative with FD and also uncooperative in the ER, was admitted.

2:50 p.m. — Caller states he received text messages from a friend stating he “wanted to die” and is not answering his door, Main Street. Officer gained entrance, made contact and confirmed suicidal. Will be transporting to hospital voluntarily.

3:23 p.m. — Multiple 911 calls for a motor vehicle accident, South Main Street and Brookside Road.

4:07 p.m. — Caller reporting that she witnessed a male party swearing at his child and she is concerned for the child’s well being, Tower Road. Officer spoke with the reporting party and the father of the child. 51A filed. Child did not appear to be in any immediate danger and did not appear neglected.

4:33 p.m. — Officer out with a vehicle from a previous call that is occupied by two juveniles under 4’9” that were improperly restrained in the vehicle, Tower Road. Verbal warning given.

6:20 p.m. — Caller reporting a loose goat outside the business, South Main Street. Reporting party called back and stated he saw the neighbor come and get the goat.

6:41 p.m. — Motor vehicle stop, Pleasant Street. Cited for speeding and no inspection results.

7:35 p.m. — Party in the lobby looking to speak with an officer regarding a harassment order being violated, Hillcrest Road. Officer viewed friend request and message, report to be completed for violation of HARPO.

8:22 p.m. — Caller receiving harassing messages on Facebook and Hangouts, Main Street. Officer spoke with reporting party and mother and advised them there was no violation at this time and the incident will be documented.

9:44 p.m. — Subject into the station to report her ex-husband is harassing her, Main Street.

10:16 p.m. — Well being check requested by Gardner PD, New Sherborn Road. States his wife is sectioned in Gardner and she told them she believes he is not alive. Made contact, all was well.

10:28 p.m. — Caller stated that his male friend came into his room and stated that he wanted to kill himself, Main Street. Officer spoke with male party. He states that he had no intentions of harming himself and had just returned from being evaluated by CSO at Athol Hospital. He was on the phone, in good spirits, speaking with his family upon officer’s arrival.

11:51 p.m. — Life Alert for an 84-year-old female with an unknown medical, Main Street. Officer assisted AFD. Found to be a faulty system. Alarm was reset, no medical issues.
