WINCHENDON — If your kids love story time and being outdoors, then why not do both at the same time? Head over to the Beals Memorial Library in Winchendon every Tuesday morning in July from 10 a.m. to noon for some Oceans of Possibility Storywalks. Storywalks are one of the many exciting programs that the library has planned for this summer.

Beginning on Tuesday, July 5, the Winchendon Library in partnership with the Winchendon Coordinated Family and Community Engage Grant (CFCE) will be hosting a series of storywalks on the library lawn. Follow the path from one poster board to the next, enjoying and interacting with each story. The first story of the month will be “There Was an Old Mermaid that Swallowed a Shark!” by Lucille Colandro, a wild and wacky sea-tastic take on There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly. Each child who participates will receive a book while supplies last.

All summer programs at the Beals will be hosted outdoors on the library lawn. This program is free and open to attend.

The Beals Memorial Library is located at 50 Pleasant St. in Winchendon. For more information, contact the library at 978-297-0300 or visit bealslibrary.org.
