Drew, Reilly honored for point scoring

The Mahar Regional track & field team honored team members at its end of the year banquet on June 6th in Orange. 

Coach Sarah Woodward gave out awards for the highest point scorers. 

The recipient for the boys was sprinter and jumper Riley Drew. 

Drew competed mostly in the long jump, triple jump, 400-meter and the 200-meter dash and finished the season with 97 points.  

The girls award went to sprinter and jumper Kamryn Reilly.

Reilly was a consistent scorer in the triple jump, high jump, 100-meter and 200-meter. Reilly ended the season with 109. 83 points.

During the season, Reilly tied the school record in the 100-meter (12.6), a record that dates back to 1993.  

Dominic Whitman, Sophia Woods, Nate Sackowicz and Ava Liberty won the awards for most improved.
