ATHOL — Year after year, fun comes in different forms for the Athol Area YMCA Annual Dinner Dance committee. On March 23, “Saturday Night Fever” will hit the Town Hall where the public is invited to “boogie down” to help support the YMCA’s Partner With Youth Campaign.

Memorial Hall will be transformed into a setting reminiscent of the iconic 1977 movie known for its soundtrack of top dance hits. Music will be provided by Majestic Entertainment. Social hour starts at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and dancing from 8 p.m. to midnight.

The Partner With Youth campaign helps provide financial assistance to children and families, ensuring the same possibilities and opportunities for all who want to participate in the YMCA, including in camps Selah and Wiyaka, child care, memberships, youth sports, and leadership programs. The theme of this year’s campaign is “Be A Hero.”

“We serve anybody in the area who is going to use our services,” said YMCA Executive Director Jeanette Robichaud, citing that last year more than $125,000 in financial assistance was provided. With that, 733 people were served, including 421 children.

Dinner dance tickets are available at the YMCA, 545 Main Street, Athol. Cost is $40 per person, or $300 for a table of eight. For more information call 978-249-3305.
