LaRose endorsed by United Food & Commercial Workers Union

The LaRose campaign announced it has secured another key labor endorsement this week from the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1459.

“UFCW Local 1459 represents around 5,000 members in Western Massachusetts and Vermont. Our membership includes those in retail food, food co-ops, school bus, public sector, and many more. We are confident that you will be an ally in the fight to protect union members across our state as well as supporting important priorities that impact membership.

“During COVID, many workers in the food and commercial industries have served on the front lines as essential workers. The least I can do as an elected official is continue to ensure they are taken care of as they have taken care of us. The UFCW’s endorsement is an honor.”

LaRose, a Democrat, faces Susannah Whipps, an Independent, in the Nov. 3 election for state representative in the 2nd Franklin District.
