Monday, June 7

10:25 a.m. – Caller from Stone Valley Road area reported possible vandalism. Officer advised that could also be wildlife in the area that could be disturbing what is on the property. A camera on the area would be able to confirm. Officer also advised reporting party of HARPO option for a harassment issue.

12:59 p.m. – East Main Street caller reported someone keeps depositing banana peels in their driveway. On arrival, two banana peels were located, and reporting party stated it has been an ongoing issue and has collected over 200 banana peels. Caller wanted this incident on record and planned to install cameras to capture future incidents.

2:58 p.m. – Patrol officer was approached on West River Street about an incident of their Toyota Tundra truck being taken by someone they knew; even after they had removed the license plates; and that person was driving the truck around.

3:22 p.m. – Caller from South Main Street area reported a white truck had just cut them off at the Water Street intersection and continued on, driving erratically. Caller noticed there was no plate on the back of the truck. Cruiser checked, gone on arrival.

7:07 p.m. – Daniel Shays Highway caller reported that neighbor’s horse had gotten loose again.

7:45 to 8 p.m. – Community Policing patrol for the beach in the Holtshire Road area and Orange Center.

Tuesday, June 8

6:12 a.m. – Patrol flagged down by motorist for a downed tree in the Walnut Hill Road area. DPW responded and cleared the debris from the roadway.

9:21 a.m. – East Main Street traffic stop for expired registration.

10:41 a.m. – Traffic stop on South Main Street for failure to signal.

11:04 a.m. – East River Street are resident advised LTC (License to Carry) was suspended pending outcome of their case.

1:24 p.m. – Police assist with motor vehicle lockout in the Brookside Road area.

3:12 p.m. – An iPhone discovered at a construction site located at Exit 16 was returned to the rightful owner.

4:23 p.m. – Officer mediated situation of adversarial/harassing Facebook comments by speaking with East Main street area involved parties, who agreed to refrain from such comments in the future.

7:27 p.m. – Assist Athol Police Department with ambulance and traffic control/closure of Orange section of Route 2 until crash was cleared.

8:11 p.m. – Welfare check requested by PCA who had not heard from Red Brook Lane area client all day. No contact was able to be made.

Wednesday, June 9

1:33 a.m. – Traffic stop at Daniel Shays Highway for inspection violation.

2:05 a.m. – Caller reported social media harassment, and requested assistance due to their perception of a lack of response from their local police department and belief the that harassing party is from the Orange area. Officer advised them to block all contact from subject and Harassment Prevention Order (258E) options.

2:10 a.m. – South Main Street security check revealed an unsecured door situation. It was discovered that an employee, who had been working late, had fallen asleep. Advised to secure the door.

5:50 to 6:28 a.m – Five traffic stops for speeding in the West River Street/South Main Street area.

7:43 to 8:12 a.m. – Community policing/foot patrol in South Main Street area revealed an unsecured door which was investigated.

12:47 p.m. – Criminal complaint citation issued on Water Street for uninsured, unregistered and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Plates were seized and vehicle was towed by Jim’s Auto.
